Using data from all worksheets within a workbook for mail merge
I am trying to merge data from all the worksheets in one Excel workbook into
a Word document using Office 2000. I have tried using the converter and
opening the workbook, but it will still only show the fields from the first
worksheet. Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to add more fields to the data form of a mail merge data source i
already have in place (i have name, address, etc and want to add like the

tab delimiter problem
I'm writing a macro which includes a mailmerge process. Even though my source
file is tab-delimited, I keep getting a prompt for what delimiter I want to
use. Any suggestions on how to avoid this? My code:

Mail merge using calculation field in an IF field
Hello All,
I'm testing with Word 2003 and when I perform a mail merge that uses a
calculation field inside an IF field, the calculation field seems to become
unlinked in the merged document.
That is, if I have something like this in my mail merge main document ...

email merge - several records should go to 1 address
I am trying to do an email merge to email authors about their articles. In
my data file, there is one record per article and sometimes an author will
have written several articles. If I do a straight email merge, the author
would get a different email for each article - but I want each author to
get just ONE email which would list all of their articles.

Merge and Sort - unexpected result
Hi, I am trying (with much frustration) to do a simple merge and sort to
labels in Word 2003. The merge is from an Outlook Contact List Folder. I
use the 'advanced' tab and set two simple rules
E-mail address 'is blank'
AND
User Field 1 is 'greater than' 2004.
The merge window brings me back the correct results with the correct entries
and all looks good.
However, I then click ok...

Mail merge - labels
I am working with Excel 2003 and a large database. Part of what I am doing
involves makeing labels that include name and birthdate and SIN number.
After making my list with the birthdate formatted to dd-Apr-yyyy and sin 000
-000-000, when I go to Word to do labels, these two formats do not stay in
the column. They become dd/mm/yy and 000000000.

all page numbers became 1 after mail merge
after mail merge all the page number became 1.
I want the page is continous.
I tried delete all the page break by replacing "^b" with "".
but can't find any page break.

Not printing to correct tray
I have a user who is using mail merge to create envelopes. However when she
does the print and selects tray 1 (The tray with the envelopes) when the
print job arrives at the printer it is going to the default tray with 8 1/2 X
11 1/2 paper in tray 2. Any ideas on why it is selecting the default tray
instead of the tray 1. Also this is not an issue when she prints a single
envelope....

Merge Picture Not Working
For the sake of my sanity, can someone please tell me what I'm doing
wrong? I'm using Word 2003.
I'm trying to create a directory with the person's picture beside
their personal information, so I'm using two columns - one for the
picture, one for the name,phone#,etc. What's happening is the textual
information is updating and showing each subsequent record in the

Automating mail merge
Hi!
I apologize if this is answered in the forum, I have looked and can not find
an appropriate answer. I have 218ish xls files that I need to merge with a
word mail merge document and save the output .doc file with the same name.
i.e.
test1.xls
test2.xls
test3.xls
output to:
test1.doc
test2.doc

What's the procedure for merging a manually constructed, properly coded list,
such as an inventory (column headings have the field names, as required) so
that the result is a formatted list (formatting is specified in the main
document). When I try to merge, I get a single entry, as if I were doing

Mailmerge plain textfile selects double-byte (Chinese) characterse
I'm trying to mailmerge a Word 2003 document (in Arial 12 Western
characterset - language Dutch) with a plain text file. For some reason the
converter seems to detect double-byte characters - which aren't there - and
changes the characterset to Chinese Traditional.

Mail Merge combines characters into one column
1 out of 3 times when using mail merge in creating letters, the output
produces my letters however the characters overlap each otherin one single
column. I can not recreate this problem every time, and I use different
