Word 2003 Envelopes and Labels fails to insert address into envelo
I have used the Outlook 2003 contacts and/or address book entries to address
and then print individual envelopes in Word 2003 via "Tools>Letters and
Mailings>Envelopes and Labels..." for years. Just recently this technique
fails to actually insert the desired address into an "envelope." Up until
the moment that I click on the desired address within the "Contacts" file
(while both...

Can merge fields be locked?
I created three merge forms - all linked to the same data source - that our
people have been using full-time for the past week. At least once each day
this week I've had to "correct" their forms. One of the reasons has been that
they inadvertently type over a field after forgetting to put that field's
information in the data source file.
Is there any way to "lock" the merge fields so t...

MS Access Database via DDE Not connecting
I have a problem somewhat different from that posted by Laura on June 12,
2007. A friend of mine (systems engineer) created a complex database for me
to use in my business using Access 2000 with documents created in Word 2000.
Very complex queries refine the data for individual legal documents created
in Word. We have two front end databases with one data container, the latter
being in a...

Print a full page of labels for each person
I am trying to print a full page of the same labels for each person. My data
source is Excel. So far I can only come up with having 20 (a full page) of
occurances of the same person in the spreadsheet. I have 100's of people. Is
there a way of having the merge print a full page for each person without
working in the datasource?
Thanks,

Next Record If Question (Word 2003)
It is my understanding that inserting the Next Record If statement in a mail
merge would allow me to only merge records that meet the criteia I set . I
do not seem to be able to make this work. (Next Record If = Chicago should
only return records with Chicago in the city field)
I can use the Skip Record If command to restrict merged records to whatever
criteria I choose. I am using t...

I've been using for years in Word 2003. However, the Insert Address function

not follow this format until after I insert the AddressLayout quick part into
the document then delete it. Until I do that extra step, I only get the

identical copy of it. But then I would like to combine the two so that there
is one master list with all the recipients. I know the easiest way would

mail merge does not print where it should
I bought a new printer today - a HP c4280. I need to print invitations and
my old ink jet couldn't deal with the paper. Anyway - the mail merge looks
perfect in Word (2003). But it prints near the top of the envelope, instead
of in the center where I have it.
I think the merge is correct because I tried it in my older ink jet and also
a laser printer - even though the quality ...

Word 2007, label mailmerge alignment
When I use the mailmerge for labels in Word 2007 the default format for the
labels is "Normal" with double spaced lines in the addresses. This causes
some addresses to be cut off, unless I decrease the font down to 9, which is
too small. If I "select all", and then choose "Normal, no spacing" the
addresses jump up to the left corner in each label. This causes problems
with alignment ...
