Try to print envelope, no address shows once through printer
I am trying to print an address on an envelope. I have selected envelpe in
the printing options but once the blank envelope goes through the printer, it
sounds like something is being printed. I remove the envelope to find no
address has printed....

Ask - multiple documents
I have a template that I have built it to use the "ask" feature so the end
user can enter data for that specific mailing. This works great for one
recipient but when I do a group mailing, I need to click OK on the "Ask"
prompt for each recipient. What am I missing? ...

printing mail merge with 4 pages per reciepient
I have succefully created a mail merge document, however word recognizes this
as one file for printing. I need to print this massive file and have this
stapled and collated on every fouth page. Othewise 4,490 pages print out and
someone has to manually separate and staple these. I must be missing
something??...

Formatting Mail Merge
In my merge the cents are not coming through from Excel if they are zeros. I
have formatted Excel to use currency with two decimal places. If the number
is whole the merge does not bring over the two zeros and I need them. Can
anyone help me out? I have fixed this problem in the past and cannot remember
how.

why do I get [a lot of] duplicate labels when I use mail merge?
I'm trying to print out ONE set of labels using the new 2007 WORD [which has
disabled my 2003 version so i'm really stuck]. I made a mail merge of
approximately 100 titles and added graphics etc. But, when I went to preview
I got a shocl: I get over 390 labels due to constant duplications! They're
supposed to be in alphabetical order, yet they keep jumping back and
restarting at diffe...

includepicture and path to picture
Hi all!
Hope you can help me with this question. I've been browsing the web for an
answer to my problem, but all the solutions I find are based on that the path
to a picture is static. Mine, however is not.
The background:
In a CRM/ERP program, you can link a picture to a product. This is stored in

Basic but frustrating
Hi-Trying to print some checks using excel data and word. Problem is
moving/placing fields inb the right place. We chose a custom label to make 3
on a page check template. All went well until we tried putting the 4 fields
where they go. Name, amount numerical, amound text dollars and location in
memo field, We have all the sawitches correct, everything. but placing the
fields is killing...

Conditional Text
Hi,
Am merging data into a directory from a .csv file (originally from an
Access database). I have several fields that need labels (e.g. Tel:
XXXXXXXXXX) As some records will not have data in this field, how do I set up
the mergefield to show 'Tel: ' infront of the telephone number, but not show
it if there is no data in that field?

CONDITIONAL FORMATTING IF/THEN STATEMENTS - MAIL MERGE
I have several conditional statements that are if/then situations but
everytime I think I have them figured out and run my mail merge, I get an op
control error.
Here are the examples:

mail merge excel to word text
It seems there is a maximum allowable text length when merging from Excel to
Word. One of my merge fields is a text description that can range anywhere
from a couple sentences to an entire paragraph. It seems to cut off after a
certain number of characters. Is there any way I can fix this? I know you
can choose an unlimited text length when using the form textboxes, is there a

column order in recipients dialog box
The following has been deduced on Word 2002, but possibly applies to some
earlier and later versions. The much later versions may have changed/improved
the facility. The data source was an Excel spreadsheet, but the logic
probably applies to all data sources.

Christmas Labels
I have created Holiday Mailing Labels using mail merge and added clip art to
the label. I have tried using every variation on the picture layout options
but the text jumps to the top edge of the label leaving the bottom half
empty. Anyone know of a way to keep the text vertically centered after adding

Remove header & footer from Envelope
In Word 2007, my normal.dot includes a header. When writing letters & ending
an Envelope to the document, everything works fine. The header & footer

Incomplete mail merge from Excel to Word?
When using the mail merge, I run through the steps with no problem, but after
updating all the labels, the preview shows the first three labels - when I
scroll through, others will show up but only on the first line, pushing the
previous ones off - and after selecting "edit individual documents, only the

IncludePicture Problem on Merge to New Document
Hello,
I have a Word document (Word 2003 SP3) that includes an IncludePicture
Field. When I merge it to a new document, the file path changes to \ \ \
Transportation\Portage\..... instead of the expected P:\Portage\....
I've tried unchecking "Tools>Options>General>Web Options>Update links on
save" without success. Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem?
