Undo feature for MS Word - what "exactly" will it "undo"
Gurus,
Running Office 2003. Someone asked me today about where in the Word do you
look to figure out what was the last action you did...I told them you could
hit the Undo button but that only undoes the last action, it doesn't tell
you beforehand what it is going to "undo". Any thoughts?

Error: Can't move cursor or highlight text
hi guys,
I'm running Microsoft Office Word 2007 on a Vista machine. Since 1
week I cannot highlight text anymore or move the cursor: the program
doesn't seem to realize when I click with my mouse! Can anyone help me
out?

Can't Delete Page
I am trying to delete a blank page 4 of a 4 page document. Help says to
switch to Normal View and then delete the Page Break or any paragraph marker
at the end of the (last?) page.
That doesn't have any effect. Please tell me how to do this.

Need an output field
I'm using Word 2003 and have created a document which analyses a database
and returns the result (Lots of If's, but once completed, it will be merged
frequently into many documents, so the setup and maintenance is worthwhile).
I wish to use these result in a master document, and can achieve and
automate this via an INSERT command.

TOC, automatically update numbering & links?
Hi,
I've been using Word for a long time, and have never needed the
advanced features. I recently started working on a long document,
where I have a changing Table of Contents. I decided to see if Word
could make the updating the TOC easier.
I spent a lot of fruitless time trying to get the insert->field->TC
to actually do something, rather than just return to the cursor with...

Too Many Edits ...?
Word 2002 on XP SP3. I want to append a document at the end of another. I get the
message "There are too many edits in this document." How can I get around that? I've
tried cutting and pasting, inserting doc 1 at the top of doc 2, inserting doc 2 at the
bottom of doc 1, saving a copy of each doc and trying again -- I still get the same
message.
How can I insert document 2 into document...

Word RD field not recognized in 2003sp3
this is odd-
In this installation of Word 2003 sp3, RD is not recognized as a valid
field.
I tried Ctrl-F9 to insert the field markers and entered it that way,
and Word wouldn't respond to shift-F9.
Then I edited a working Includetext field (shift-F9 and manually edit)
to RD and still no joy.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?...

File size larger than 512mb help pls!
Lo guys for my uni work I have been creating a photographic portfolio
using word (god knows why =/). now it wont let me open the file to
finish or even view it as it is over 512mb despite the fact i saved it
using word - if any1 is able to help me with a way of opening, or
viewing the file so i can print it, it would be a big big help as i
have spent a long time creating it.

Super-Quick Navigation / Links on the left?
Hi All - I'm relatively new to Word 2007, but I'm a heavy user of prior
versions. I write technical specs for a living, and deal with fairly
lengthy documents (100 pages or so). I want a method to navigate through

Outline View Show only first line
I am trying to create an outline view that only shows the first line

Variable Page width
Hi,
I'm using Word 2003, and have the following setup: Page1 of a template has
standard page with settigns, and a blank header and footer. Dependant on
variables, 2 further documents can be called in (effectively using an INSERT
command) embedded in IF commands as part of a population process. The
second document has the same page width, header & footer requirements, and
works fine...

Creating Expiring Dates in Word 2003
I'm working on a meeting agenda template in Word 03 and I'd like to be able
to set due dates for action items (and then, presumably, when the meeting
agenda is updated, it would be able to compare due date to today's date and
change the style or color or something to signify it was a missed due date).
Does that make sense?...

Include section numbers in Table of Contents
I am using Word 2000
This is my first attempt a creating a document with Sections and a Table of
Contents.
I am writing up some instructions.
I have divided the document up into sections A,B,C etc. and each section
begins with a Level 1 Heading.
I am also using Level 2 & 3 Headings.

Updating Caption Numbers
I have a Word 2007 document that was prepared by pasting from several other
documents. As a result the Caption Numbers are not sequential. I can
update each caption number by selection each one at a time and choosing
update field. Surely there is some way (short of VBA code) to update all
the captions at one time and have them all sequentially numbered.

Fake returns?
Hi folks,
I often am dealing with Word files I didn't create. That is, a human being
other than myself created them (perhaps on Macs), or Save As/Export filters
created them. For example, Saving As .doc/.rtf out of Adobe Acrobat, or OCR
scanning software that saves as .doc/rtf.

Find and replace formatting
Is there a way to run a find and replace command on a type of formatting
rather than a word string? I need to change all underlines in a 100
page document to italics--and there are hundreds of them!

Headers - grayed out
I was trying to copy or edit an object I think is in the header of a document
- but the header/footer option under the view menu is greyed out. So I can
not access the object. Any help is appreciated.

Word bulleted list modification
In Word 2003 you could modify bulleted list styles to correct indents, change
bullet etc.
How do you do this in Word 2007; it appears you can only create new ones?...

Creating a company-wide bulleted list style .
We have a standard bulleted list style that we want to store in a central
'Normal.dotm' (But I suspect that is not where they are stored...) so that
all users, on all machines, in all documents can access that standard
bulleted list style.

updated field (from bookmark) format inconsistent
When I update a field (with the option "perserve formatting during
updates" selected) which references a bookmark with different
formatting, the first word is formatted correctly but the following
words are formatted similar to the bookmark the field references. I
am using Microsoft Word Professional 2003. Please help.

Problems with a form
Problem 1 I created a Form document that I send people to fill out. The
form was created in Word2003. In Word 2007 I am unable to protect the form.
The "yes, start enforcing protection" is grayed out.
Problem 2 I need to create a different footer on the last page of the
form, the "link to previous" is grayed out.
