Format Text Box
Is there a way to format a text box so that the text you type does not go
outside of the defined size limits? e.g. let's say a 2" vertical box can
fit 12 lines of 10 pt. Times lettering, the 13th and subsequent lines end up
being hidden. Can I limit the box so only what is able to fit is what you
can type in?
Apologies in advance if I am not explaining this very well...

How do I print on paper with Christmas designs
My printer is a HP C6100 series and I cannot figure out how to print on
designed Christmas paper. The printer must recognize the pattern and will
not print my text. Is there a paramiter I need to change to use this type of
paper?...

Help editing a locked picture grouping in Word?
I am trying to edit a photo that appears to be grouped with a text box and
two arrows. I can't just ungroup. I think the grouping is locked. Not sure
how to unlock it or if this is the real problem?
When I click twice (not double-click) on any componant, the round white
selectors at the corners of the object all turn grey with an "x" inside them.
Any ideas?...

Word 2007 SmartArt randomly changes colors/themes
Greetings,
Question 1:
I created a series of SmartArt objects in Excel, I then copied and pasted
those SmartArt objects into Word.
The SmartArt objects all changed colors. How can I "force" Word to accept
these shapes without changing colors?
Question 2: (perhaps related to question above?)
In Word, my SmartArt seems to lack any robust colorful themes. The themes
are all drab grey...

My autoshapes don't appear in Word 2003
When I click on Autoshapes in Word, the pop-up with "Lines" "Connectors" etc.
pops up, but none of the submenus containing the graphics appear.
I've tried "Repairing" word without any results. How do I get the autoshapes
back?

How do I play *.gif* in word 2003?
How do I get a file with a *.gif* file extension to animate in Microsoft Work
2003? I copy and paste them from Mozilla and one the background of the image
comes up. Is there even a way to do this?
Also, if I do this, will another person to able to view the animation in a
word document if that person opens the document on another computer?
Any help would be appreciated....

Clipart Printing Problems
HELP!!! I need to print out a booklet today...and all of my clipart images
are printing on the wrong pages! For example...clipart from page 3 is
printing on page 22 and clipart from page 15 is printing on page 10!?!
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

smart art bullets
FTLOG all I want to do is make a list inside a smart art graphic that DOESN'T
have those silly bullets. I dont' want bullets to appear next to my text, but
the text needs to have multiple lines AND be in a "process" style smart art
with arrows. Does anyone know how to do this?

Inserting picture creates too large file size
Hi, using Word 2003 I'm inserting JPG files into my document, and finding
that the file size is increasing tremendously. Is this normal?
For example, I have a JPG that is 42 KB. I insert this into a .doc file
that is 556 KB. Now the file is 1,892 KB. I have a quite a few more JPG's
to insert, and soon it will become very cumbersome. Any suggestions?

Font color distorts with images
Whenever I use a colored font such as green for example, the printout colors
bleed and in this case it appears as though it is a green font with a yellow
halo on the lines that are on the horizontal plane of any image. Lines of
print between images appear solid and normal. Any explanation?...

Default word wrapping for images
When importing clip art (or image file) into Word, is there any way to make
is so that the default word wrapping is 'in front of text' ?
I teach in a school and to change the word wrap everytime is too complicated
for younger children....

remove drawing canvas to make picture
I have a picture in a document that was given to me that when clicked on
shows the thin black border around it like a normal picture, but when I right
click it there is an "edit picture" that turns it into a drawing canvis with
lots of text boxes that I'm able to edit. How do I get it back to a
"picture" and not a drawing canvas anymore?

How do I add titles to inline pictures in Word?
I'm trying to write a travelogue of a 2-week vacation, I chose MS Office Word

Inserting pictures in MS Word - tips please!
I am a somewhat reluctant convert to Office 2007 - mainly because it's
my company's de facto standard I have to use it.
Leaving aside all issues of the UI which is purely a matter of taste,

Images not displayed in Word 2007
Hi. I'm using Word 2007 with MS Windows XP Service Pack 2 on an Lenovo T60

Hidden Bookmarks
I have to click on the check box for "Hidden bookmarks" to see all the
bookmarks. I am trying to link a sentence to a topic on another page and
it's not showing up on the "Insert Hyperlink box". I think it's not showing
up in the "insert Hyperlink" box because it's hidden.
Is there a way so I can see all the bookmarks without having to check the
box for "Hidden bookmarks"?

cannot activate shadow for letters
In Word 2003, I cannot utilize the shadow commands on the drawing tool bar.
They are grayed out If I turn on the "shadow" command in the format a font
menu, I get a very small grey shadow. This is not what I want. When I turn
the "shadow" command on or off in the font menu, it will only remove or place
the faint grey shadow....

Insert Photo in Protected Doc
I am setting up a form to insert data in protected mode, for layout purposes.
It it possible to have a table or box that the user can insert a photo or
picture in said box or location, while the document is protected (while using
the form)?

Importing Coreldraw graphics into Word 2007
I've recently moved from Word 2000 to Word 2007 and have found that I can no
longer import Coreldraw graphics successfully. If I copy and paste from a
..CDR into Word or if I insert the .CDR file with insert/object any filled
text in the drawing is missing. I can only see the text if I set an outline
on it before copying.

Aligning lines and text
When I draw a vertical or horzizontal line from the drawing toolbar and then
have to insert a reference number [ie: X 3] onto the line all looks well
prior to printing but when it is printed off the reference numbers have moved
- normally to the right - why is this and how do I align the diagrams and text...
