Mail Merge
Hi,
I am mail merging from an Access database to Word for address labels. In
Access the field is called address and looks like this:
2plan
94 South Terrace
Surbiton
Surrey
KT6 6HU
In Word it looks like this :
2plan,[]94 South Terrace[]Surbiton[]Surrey[]KT6 6HU
Where [] is actually a little square. I have tried a find and replace but it
won't paste the square. Does anyone kno...

Batch file conversion to Word 2007
Does anyone know how to do batch coversions from older file formats to Word
2007?
We have a large archive of Wordperfect files that I would like to convert to
Word 2007. Word 2003 had a batch converston macro but I cannot find it on
Word 2007.
If we cannot convert these, we will have to re-install Wordperfect 12 and
temporarily halt our switchover to Word 2007.

Word 2007 - how to revise fonts in Comments?
When I used Word 2003 I could easily go in and change the fonts used in
Comments. All of document formatting options were contained in the "Options"
but now I can't find it. Is there some central place in Word 2007 where I can
set these types of options?...

Inserting cross references
I create technical documents that have lots of cross references and
get really tired of the simplistic cross-reference dialogue in Word
2003. The current document I'm working on has over 150 pages, 5
heading levels and over 400 headings (so far) plus probably five times
as many numbered paragraphs that are also used as cross references.
Most cross references are to the paragraph or heading ...

Using Alt key in autocorrect
i remember using the alt key to insert math characters in word (e.g, i can

I can't save highlighted text in a regular word document
I was trying to highlight text to hide the names of certain people in a report
(for confidentiality purposes). I used to be able to save documents with
the highlights included, but now I cannot. Even it's on the screen, it won't
print the highlighted text. I ran a virus check and deleted some files on
Java, but the problem remains. I would really appreciate some help on this.

find and replace
Is there any way to separate out english operators such as "and" and "or"
without replacing the "or" in words like original. I have the same problem
with "and" in the word "understand". All I want is to replace exact match of
"and" + "or"....

How do I get old hyperlinks to look for .docx files?
I have one Word 97-03 document which contains hyperlinks to several hundred
other documents (all have the suffix ".doc").
With Word 2007 I have gradually converted the documents to 2007 format which
has caused them to now have the suffix ".docx". This means that clicking on
the hyperlinks now produces an error as all these still point to files ending
with ".doc".
I don't wish to manual...

Why doesn't the "cap" key show on or off on my window??? (Word)
When I am in EXCEL a little pane in the bottom of the field tells me if the
caps are on or off, when I am in Word I get no such indication. Is there a
way I can get something to tell me when the caps are on or off?????? Thank

anchoring pictures
How can I stop my pictures from moving when I am editing paragraphs in my
dissertation. When they have moved on their own and I try to bring them back
to correct position they just jump back to the beginning of the document . I
have read something about anchoring but it seems to be connected with in line
text and I want text to be wrapped ...

Delay in Word 2003
Everything I do in Word 2003 is experiencing a delay. Typing, erasing,
clicking on items, etc. I get the hourglass all the time. It has not always
had this problem. I have looked on here and none of the solutions that have
worked for other people help my problem. Thanks for any help. BTW, I use
McAfee Security.

Excessive Styles in Word 2007
For any document viewed with Word 2007 the style list is huge and
unmanageable. the two problems I see are:
1) every combination of defined style and one time modification is listed as
a style
2) there seem to be several hundred built in styles including about 10 with
no names.

mui installation error
Hi,
I have a problem installing the Traditional Chinese MUI on top of my English
Office 2003.
When I start the process it says "please install Office 2003" before
installing the MUI", but Office has already been installed properly and
updated to SP3.
Any ideas on how to solve this?

Word wont let me start numbering on second page using help tips
I have followed the help guides for page numbering, however word wont let me
execute the command of entering 0 at 'starts at' to commence numbering on a
second page and also won't let me change numbering part way through a
document. I can't break the document into separate files so if anyone has
any ideas how to get around this I would be very grateful...
