Printing Alternate Pages
I have a large document (296 pages) and I want to print every other page on
to headed paper. So page 1 goes to one cassette page 2 to another and this
repeats etc. Is this possible and how?...

I cant get windows to use office 2003 as default
Hi
I have both office 2003 and 2007 installed. I desperately want windows to
use 2003 when i click on a .ppt or .doc document. Even if I do "open
with..." and browse to the appropriate .exe and click the "Always use the
selected program to open this kind of file" box it still uses word 2007 or
ppt 2007 to open the file. the only work around is to directly open the
appropriate .ex...

Embed equations
I am viewing a Word (2007) document from my prof which is supposed to have
equations on it. I can only read the embed fields and equation numbers.
This just started happening this week. I had no problem either creating or
reading equations before this. What is the problem and how do I correct it?
I have run the diagnosis tool and no problem is identified. I have all

Text Highlight: sometimes it turns off. It won't stay on.
If I'm reviewing a document, I'll right-click, pick the highlight tool, and
then highlight a portion of text. I would like the highlight tool/cursor to
stay ON so that I can continue to review the document and highlight as I go.
BUT, my cursor returns to normal and every time I want to highlight I have to
right-click and choose the highlight button.

Quit and restart with documents in same arrangement?
Is there a way to close Word and later reopen it and have the same documents
I was last working on reopen in the same positions, and on the same pages?
I keep several documents open at once, all a few hundred pages long, and
it's several minutes every day to get everything in order. Which, you know,
starts to add up.
Some kind of "Remember where I was command" would be excellent.

Problem with Opening an Embedded Word file in Excel
Hello,
I posted this question on the Excel Forum and have not heard anything as
yet. I thought I would try the Word Forum in hopes that someone has some

Word 2007 won't let me type, what do I do?
After my friend tried to get rid of all the junk on my laptop, she went
through a lot of folders and whatever to get my internet to go faster. After
she did that my Word 2007 stopped working. It will open up a document and
download documents but it won't let me type a document. It says, "This
modification is not allowed because the selection is locked." What do I do?...

"Hard" space; "hard" hyphen
I know this is probably a dumb question, but I absolutely cannot find out how
to create what I know as a "hard" space or a "hard" hyphen. This is when you
want text within a paragraph kept together and wrapped to the next line.
i.e., Mr. Smith: I don't want Mr. at the end of one line and Smith on the
next line; and i.e., a phone number 999-888-8888. I don't want any of the

Tables don't fit on page.
When I go to print preview, the sides of my tables (which are set to autofit
to contents) are cut off. It looks fine in the print layout view. Any idea

Keep Hypenated Text on same line
I know, dumb question, but I have searched all formatting text strings I can
think of and cannot get the instruction for this feature. I know it as a
"hard space" and a

Hello,
I am creating a book of all my guitar lyrics. I would like to print a
alphabetically sorted index with Artist + SongTitle, and another one with
SongTitle + Artist. I have entered artist using a special paragraph style and
songtitle using another one.

MS Outlook font
I changed the font of text to the MS Outlook font listed in the font dialog
box. It turned my text into boxes. Then I saved the file. I have tried
changing to other fonts and still only get boxes. Any suggestions?

Problem with creating PDF file from MS Office Word 2007 (Acrobat 8
I use Vista Ultimate with 4GB RAM.
In my former XP machine "Adobe PDF" appeared in the printer list in Word
2003 and I never had any problem creating PDF files.
On my Vista machine and Word 2007 Adobe PDF does not appear in the printer
list.
When I try to create a PDF from the Acorbat icon in Word I get the following

Woord 2007 pasting "issues"
I am pasting some text from one word 2007 document into another. The
source is formatted as Times 12, and the destination has all Times
font, some 12, some 10. When I paste, it ALWAYS pastes as Callibri 11.
I have changed the styles/defaults settings to always paste as times
12, but every time I start up the program again, it changes back those
settings. I have changed paste settings to match...

Word 2003 - save window size?
If I adjust the size of my Word 2003 window and log out, the next day my Word
window is back to the default (full-screen). Is there any way to save my

MS Office Word 2007; Re: Bookmarks
Please clarify: I get the feeling that you can only create a bookmark for:
Headings, Figures, and Tables. I've tried to make a bookmark for a specific
location in a document that doesn't have any Headings. But setting a
bookmark in this situation doesn't seem to work properly.
It seems the correct way to do this is to use a cross reference.
