MS Word Error keep coming up
Everytime I open MS word (Office 2003), It is trying to restore a document.
The document it is trying to restore no longer exist. So I don't know what
else to do.
Is there any way I can turn off MS word Auto-Recovery feature?

REmove Paragraph Symbol
A paragraph symbol appears on all my new word documents and
the remove procedure des not remove it. spell check etc., do not
work with this P which appears at the beginning of each line....

Why can't I check the check boxes in a Word document?
I've downloaded a .doc file from a government website which happens to be a
job application. In order to fill it out, I need to tick check boxes.
However, when I click on them, absolutely nothing happens. If I double-click
on them, some random "code" page comes up (I have no idea what this is) which
I've never seen before.
How can I get Word to let me tick the check boxes? My employmen...

Delete if form field is not defined
I currently have a text form field that is conditional where when you type
"OH" or "OHIO" and that state information appears elsewhere in the form. If
the field is left blank, it clears the state information. Is there a way that
if someone places something other then a state or something that is not
defined in the 'Case ""', that will delete the state infromation?

Merge HTM File Gets Truncated
Hi,
I'm using Word 2003 and I want to merge in a HTML report. When I do the
data gets truncaded.
I tried saving the word doc as XML or HTML, import the data from the file
(not using insert do a cut and paste) and it still gets truncated. So I
clicked Edit -> Select All, then Format menu and selected Auto Format. But
it still doesn't fix the truncation.

change address layout in envelopes/labels when accessing Contacts
When I print envelopes and labels, and use an address from Contacts, the
Country appears before the ZIP code in the address. I want to either
eliminate Country, or move it to the end of the address...

printing labels
Seem to be having problems with Word 2007. Every time I try to print a full
sheet of labels, it only prints out a small part of my document. It seems to
be defaulting to a small size (? x 6"). Changed everything I could think of
as far as paper sizes but it seems to get messed up once I answer the
"margins outside of printable area" question. Any suggestions?...

Copying and Pasting a Large Document...
When I copy and paste a large document from a different file, it places all
of the text in separate little "text boxes" and editing the document is very
difficult.
Does anyone know how to paste a large document into Microsoft Word without
text boxes and in editable text form only?

printing cut short
I have a user running office 2003. She is merging data from excel into a
word template. The first few times she does it, it works correctly. After
that it cuts off the bottom 25% of the page both in print preview and in the
printing. If she logs off and on again it will work again for two or three

word shuts down
When I open a document to make changes or print it the program shuts down. It
prompted me to run diagnostics which I did twice and that can't find a
problem. It is very annoying since I need word for school!!! Also, I can
not open and print PDF's and I even updated that! I just bought this new
computer with Vista and now I am thinking I should have bought a MAC!!!! HELP...

copying as a jpg or similiar
I have created a flyer to sent via email. It will now allow me to copy and
paste this flyer (graphics included) into an email. I do not want to put it
as an attachment...I want the people to see it the moment they open the
message. I cannot save it into photobucket like I have for other things
because it needs to be a jpg or similiar.

Equations in funky shapes
I am running Office 07 and trying to input several long, complex equations.
For the most part, entering the equations is easy. I am a huge fan of the
new equation editor, it's so much easier to be able to type in MT than use
the stupid graphical selection toolbar. Anyway, my problem is, the space

Can't close word
I write a document in Word, and try to send it as an email but after I click
'send to,' nothing happens, and I cannot close Word because it wants me to
finishing sending the email, which I so badly wish to do, but there is no
where to enter the address. No other windows are open and I am stuck. I have
to turn off the computer to get Word to close. This process has worked for

enter key instead of shift-enter
I am used to being able to use the enter key to go to the next line, but in
the 2007 version of Word, the enter key takes you down two lines. Is there
any way to change this? Using shift-enter all the time is a pain; using the
enter key by itself is automatic for me when I'm typing a document.

windows:
1. First, I get this error message: The file is in use by another
application or user. C:\ . . . . . Normal.dot
2. When I click Ok, it opens a Windows Explorer window in the folder at path

Word 2003 - "Insert Number of Pages" in Header/Footer command
Hello - I have a two-section document (the section is set up as Section Break
- Next Page). I have a header in the second section which says "Page X of Y
Pages." I used the Header/Footer command to "Insert Number of Pages" for the
"Y" amount. The problem is that this command is picking up the total number

Conditioned Drop Down Options?
Does anyone know if it's possible to build logic into a drop-down list that
says: based on what chosen in "drop-down list #1" it manipulates what's
available to choose in "drop-down list #2"? Specifically, I want to have 3
drop-down lists and as you make your selection in the first two, it narrows

Track Changes
Is there a way I can hide all changes made when I turn on the track changes
feature? For example, if I send a document to someone else and they are
editing the document (while I'm tracking changes) is there a way to set it up
where the tracking isnt visible to them? I know you can do this in Excel,
but it isnt working in Word for me. Thank you!...

How Do I Terminate View Changes on Emailed Documents?

Microsoft Word Conversion into PDF Converts into View Changes!!
I also bought Adobe Acrobat Standard. I went to convert my Word file into a
PDF and surprise......sometime during the PDF conversion process the Word
file that was "final" view converted into "final-show changes" and I now have
a wonderful PDF showing all of the colorful history of the document.....
What can be done to stop this senseless process???? Is the only salvation to

ViaVoice 10 and Word 2002
Greetings !
I have installed ViaVoice 10, and done the "training" sessions.
However, when I come to USE it in Word 2002, I can't activate it.
The ViaVoice "Help" files in WORD are there, but worse than useless.
e.g. "Click the ViaVoice menu " - WHAT ViaVoice menu ?????
Ten years ago I had old versions of both which worked very well together....

I have cited a number of articles in one place, with consecutive end note
numbers. How can I convert the separate numbers (e.g., 2,3,4,5,6,7) to a
range of numbers (e.g. 2-7) while maintaining the connection with the
