Word 2007, tables, and making them "behave" like Word 2002
Here's a weird one for everyone...a series of documents were created
in Word 2002 a few years ago in my office that were improperly
formatted. Among other things, excess characters in table rows such
as paragraph breaks were completely ignored. As a result, a document
containing a 3 column x 2 row table fit exactly on 2 pages.
Along comes Word 2007...which I had to install on someone's ma...

Disabled Word Options
In Word 2007: Options under Proffing from "Mark grammar errors as you type"
down have all been greyed out so they can not be selected or deselected.
Anyone know how to re-enable these?...

Why can't Desktop Google search fine a renamed file?
I use Desktop search a lot. I just discovered that if a file has been
renamed, nothing in that file will show up on Desktop search? Why is that?...

link two content controls
In word 2007, I would place two rich text controls in different places in a
document. These two controls will display the same content, say, the author
of the article. I would like the user to fill either one of them and the
content will be displayed automatically in the other control. How can I do
that?

"highlighting"
In Word I was holding right mouse button down while I checked an address. A
comment box popped up saying that when the button is held down for x# of
seconds then ----- happens. Now if I click on a line or word everything
above or below is highlighted. I cannot get a curser either....

Print table without lines
I just converted to Office 2007 from Office 2000. In the latter I was able to
print the formatted contents of tables without printing the row/column lines.
Can I do the same in Word 2007? How?

Hyperlink goes to previous page break in document, not assigned he
I have a word document that I put hyperlinks into so that the reader can jump
to different section headers within the document. Sometimes when I jump to a
section header the link actually goes to the page break just before the
header, other hyperlinks in the same document goes to the section header. If
I delete the page break then the link works. Also, I want the section header

WORD 2003 MOUSE/FORMATTING ISSUES! HELP!
Since I was forced to reinstall my Offce 2003 program due to other issues
that have since been resolved, I have had some odd things taking place with
my mouse and WORD. I am unable use my mouse for formatting in WORD ( and
Outlook for that matter), for example I would like to use my mouse to click

Blank page prints after printed page
I just purchased a Lenovo T500 laptop w/Vista Pro/Office 2007. Here's the
problem. At my office, I'm using an old HP Laserjet 4 printer (connected via
LAN). Whenever I print a document, a blank page appears after each printed
page. I changed the default settings to another printer in my office
(Samsung laser) and had no problems printing (no blank pages). I also took
my laptop home ...

Disabling "Auto" questions in Microsoft Word & Excel
I have some documents that I have password protected that users will be
accessing to print and read. If they print the document when they exit it
will ask them if they want to save. I want to know how to disable this
question from appearing. Also when I have a different program (that I know is
safe) accessing my email is it possible to disable those "auto" questions?

Envelopes
Whenever I print an envelope in Word, the delivery address is too low, and I
always have to change the "from top" portion for each envelope, so that the
delivery address prints higher on the envelope. Is there a way to change
this permanently, to change the default?...

Macro
Is there anyway to create a keyboard macro that will scroll a Word document
down just a few lines? I'm a medical transcriptionist and I like to have the
lines I'm currently typing to be positioned in the upper 1/2 (or so) of the
document. I hate having to reach for the mouse to scroll manually. Any

Updating fields
I have a document, and for example two words repeat in defined spaces in
document. How can i change those two words once and then word to fill in
other fields which are repeated in document.
example:
John goes to HIGH SCHOOL. He has homework to do every day. His HIGH SCHOOL

Spell Checker not working
Spell Checker not working-Word 2007
Hi, I have tried to uncheck the 'hide spelling mistakes' box under the
'proofing' section of 'word options', but for some reason it is shaded grey
and will not allow to be unchecked. The grammar works fine but I have tried
everything (i think) and just cannot get Word to check spelling.
I would truly appreciate any help.

printing checks
I need to print business checks. How do I format $2000---------------00/00
so that it will look nice? i.e. When I use the hyphen key to make a line,
there are spaces in the middle; I want a straight unbroken line. And I want
the 00/00 (or xx/xx) to either appear small, or better yet to appear in
subscripts and superscripts below and above that line. Thank you.

Track Changes Macro
Hi.
I am trying keep a log of tracked changes across a tabulated word document.
I found a macro online which extracts the changes and produces a table with
author, time, change, line and page captured.
However, I would like to be able to capture the column that the comment
refers to also. Is this possible?
I have posted the macro below (not my own).

Startup Folder
Hiya,
We have moved the Startup folder to a network share, so that we can drop
templates into the folder for access by everyone, instead of going to each
machine one by one.
However, the first person to load Word (which opens with no delay) is
'locking' all the templates, making Word open very slowly for everyone else
(about 15-20 seconds).

Index problem
I am using Vista Home Premium and Word 2007.
Whenever I create an index using a concordance file the index appears OK. If
I then save the document and try to re-open it, it won't do so and the
computer hangs.
I have got around it by creating the index in a different-named copy of the
original document, then capture the index as a jpg picture.

Show this number of Recent Documents
I am not able to change\activate the listing for Recent Documents in the
Display options section of Word. The user is set to local admin on the
workstation, which logs into a windows 2003 Server domain. I have deleted the
Data registry Key and made sure all the updates are installed. When rebooted
the option is still greyed out.
