Spell Check doesn't work on CAPPED words
Using Word 2007 that came with Office 2007 for Small Business (not sure of
either versions). My OS is Vista Home Premium on an HP Media Desktop.
Spell Check does not work on capitalized words. For example, it will
identify
abcdef as a misspelled word, but not ABCDEF. What gives?

How do I type on top of a line without creating a open space or having to
underline what I am typing since the underlining never matches up with the
existing line?

How can I auto scroll while I type?
How can I make Word autmatically scroll up as I type so that the line I am
typing on always stays at the center of my screen, rather than having to type
on the bottom of the screen (as the document page fills up)? Having to
manually scroll the document every couple of minutes so that I can view what
I am typing at the top or center of the screen, or even to use a macro, is a

What am I doing that is causing my key mapping to change?
I'm working in Word, and all of a sudden, my / key types -, - types +, ; is
ae and ' is an o with a strike through it. I'm sure there's some key
combination I'm hitting that turns this "feature" on, but for the life of me,
I can't identify it. Help?...

Word2007 Doucment protected on device
I created a Word2007 document on my computer and copied it to me device (AT&T
Tilt WM6.1), When I open it with Word Mobile it states that the document is
protected and I can't make any changes to it. How do I unprotect it?...

Sending Word Document as the Body of an Email
I have a word document that contains a header and watermark and have sent
this as a body of an email. The body of the email does portray the word
document as needed except it is missing the header and watermark. I really
need to have these two items show seeing that this is used as a business
e-newsletter. Is there any possible way to send this with these items?...

Removing borders on every new document
Every time I open Word, there are dotted borders all around the page. The
first line starts at the first line on the page. I can't figure out how to
get the borders removed from all new documents created or opened and how to
get the first paragraph to start further down on the page. My margins in Page
Setup show: Top 1", Bottom 1", Left 1.25", Right 1.25", Gutter 0" (whatever

{PRIVATE} shows up in a printed document. Why?
I prepared a documentin Word printed it and sent to client for review. Ithen
made some corrections in the document and when I printed it, {PRIVATE} showed
up in three locations in the document. When I go to print preview and
question this entry, it gives me formatting information for paragraph format
and print format. I need to know how to get rid of this.

Word 2000
When I use Word it puts a - between all words plus it puts the paragraph sign
on the left of all of my blank lines plus at the end of a sentence. Yet when
I print the document it looks normal.

how to create PDF forms in Word
I'm trying to help the nonprofit I'm working for by creating forms out of
their everyday documents ... I'd like a document that would just have text
fields that they could tab between without disturbing the info on the
document ... PDF form? no idea how to do this ... they're on PCs but I have

Page numbers in word 2003 are gone in word 2007
I have a document created in word 2003. It has page numbers i, ii, iii etc in
the foreward and page numbers with chapter numbers later in the document
(1-1, 1-2, 2-1, etc)
When I open it in 2007 the page numbers are all gone - every single page has
the same thing now and it just says {PAGE } where it used to show the actual
page number.
I found an older computer with 2003 on it stil...

We have users sharing/accessing Word Documents on a Shared Ntwk Drive. When
they open a document, they are receiving the following message: "[filename]
is locked for editing by 'another user'."
Why is the message not identifying who is using the file as it should and
just referring them as 'another user'. ...

The text appears slowing down on the display/screen during typing (Office
Word).
That is irritating because you have to wait with typing until the text
appears. Otherwise you don't know where you are in the text. What is the

Calculations in Word?
Hello,
Is it possible to do simple calculations in Word?
Example:
If I have a form and enter some numbers in the fields, could I do something
like
Field A $3500 Minus Field B $1700 = Field C $1800 OR
Field D 50 times Field E 3 = Field F 150 minus Field G 75 = Field H 75
Is this possible? Currently the users use an Excel form to this all this but
I want to set it up in a Word D...

Seperate ONE document into MULTIPLE
I am using Microsoft Word 2007...
So I have a document that I created using a Mail Merger. It is about 300
pages long. Each page is a seperate letter that I wish to email to different
individuals.
Does anyone know of a way I can seperate this document into seperate
documents based by page??? Besides doing a copy/cutt and paste method.

Where's icon for updating address files in word 2007? Its gone!
I need to update some addresses in my address files to make some envelopes
and I can't find any command that lets me do it. There used to be an icon in
my old version with a pencil in it that let you correct info or hit enter to
keep the old info. You could also search to locate a specific address in a
specific field. Help!...

Printing problem
I have a recurring random printing problem that occurs mostly while printing
in MS Word 2003. It also happens less frequently while printing in Broderbund
Print shop 20. The problem that is happening in MS Word is that every 3 or 4
pages, only about 2/3 of the page prints. It is always the top 1/3 of the
page that doesn't print. The problem is becoming more and more noticeable
over time....

Encarta Dictionary missing
I have several users on my network who don't see the Encarta Dictionary in MS
Word 2007. They right-click on a word and select Lookup. The research pane
opens for them and shows the Thesauruses and the Translation options, but no

Saving to specific drives
In Office 2007 when I want to save a word doc, I want it to open to a
specific drive and folder everytime I click on Save or Save As. I cannot get
it to do this, it keeps opening to My Documents. Then I have to go through
choosing the path each and every time. This happens only when I open a

Squiggly lines that I removed come back when reopening the documen
There are squiggly lines under several words or paragraphs in my document. I
have repeatedly gone to spelling and clicked ignore for each one. After I
remove them, I save the document. When I re-open the document, the same
lines are back. I have sent out several resumes thinking that the lines were

Letter 'blocks'
Hi,
I'm wondering if it's possible to have some kind of tool (i don't know if
it's already in word??) where there is a database of text 'blocks' which
people can insert text from. For example.

How do i resize clipart? (Word 2003)
i have been able to resize clipart in WORD by simply clicking on the corner
and draging to the size i want. it won't let me do that any more. i have to
right click and edit and then enter the numbers of the resize into the box.
i have checked every Option i can find to no avail. i have also compared my
settings to others in the office and we are all set the same. thank you for

Security for WORD???
Microsoft Word '07.
I am trying to set a sercurity for certain users. I.E. I would like a
document in a folder with many others to only be allowed to used by a certain
individual. WHen I got to properties/security, I can't find the persons name
under anything. Even when I type in A it only list about 20 names when I
work with 2,000. What's the deal???...
