Cutom toolbars in 2007
I just got Office 2007 and I want to cry. I used to have several custom
toolbars for my Macros (about 30 macros on 3 different toolbars). Now I only
have the Quick Access toolbar and there is no way to tell which macro is
which without hovering over the button. On the toolbar, I could use text, but
that doesn't seem to be an option now. Plus, I don't want to have to put all
30 macros on ...

Disable formatting context menu in Office 2007?
When I right-click within Word or Excel 2007, a new formatting menu
comes up above the normal context menu. I just can't stand this - it
covers my text and generally gets in my way. Is there a way to disable
it?
Thanks,
Joe

Missing menus in Insert > Autotext > Header/Footer. Word 2002
I get as far as the above, but when I click on Header/Footer all I see is an
ugly little square stump where my beautiful list used to be.
Have used the winword.exe /a switch but this doesn't fix it permanently. I
also deleted the data file from the registry but this didn't work either.
I used a GUI toolbar editor but when you look at field width for autotext it
says 'not supported'.

Word 2003, Win XP
I have turned off automatic spell checking and grammar

there any way to remove the dictionary icon from the status
bar altogether without removing the entire status bar?

How can I get rid of multiple instances of mail merge from Tools M
Hi,
Using Word 2000 on XP. The Tools drop down menu has multiple instances of
'Mail Merge'. At last count there was more than 25. Any advice please how I
can reset the drop down menu back to just one instance? No one using the PC
has ever attempted to customise the menu so I am not sure how it came about.
I realise this forum is about customisation but I want to de-customise a menu.

Pitfalls installing Word 07 over customized Word 02 ?
Running XP sp2, Office 2002 including Word 2002
Soon I will be installing Office 2007, incl Word 07. Still under XP sp2
My present Word is massively customized, entire keyboard, etc. Some changes
are stored in normal.dot (probably a mistake?). Most changes are stored in a
new template named abnormal.dot. I assume the new install will go right on
top of the existing Word.
How best to...

is it possible to put an default inputbox (like the fontsize-box) on a

user can put the number of copies in the custom toolbar, without
opening the dialog.
Many thanks,

New Office (2007) menus -- can we change them back to exactly CLASSIC menus?
In Outlook MESSAGES (riddon windows) the menus do not work as before.
In Word DOCUMENTS (ribbon windows) the new scheme is to NOT display the
menu but to rather pop up a message that says you can keep typing BUT ONLY
if you have them fully memorized.
What I need is an option to put the OLD MENUS (Alt-Key access) and display
of them back.
Does this exist?
[If not, the idiots that i...

Toolbar macro runs twice but shouldn't
This is possibly the strangest thing I've seen yet. I've searched all the
forums, Google, etc, to no avail. I'm hoping maybe someone esle has seen this
and figured it out.
A custom toolbar is used by many people in a certain department. It works
fine for all but one of them. When she clicks a button on the toolbar the
associated macro runs TWICE. I'm at a loss as to why....
