Toolbar sometimes invisible for a particular user.
Hi all.
I don't think this problem links in with the other invisible tool bar issues
mentioned here, but am happy to be told otherwise, then I'll pursue the
fixes mentioned.
I have a small network - Win2K server on the server, Win2K on the
workstations, Office 2000. Users move from computer to computer, and their
preferred settings, etc, follow them around by means of a roving profile and

How do I turn on full menus?
When I click on a menu (i.e. File, Edit, ...), I want to see *all* items
there, not just the frequently used items. How do I do this? I want to turn
on full menus for all of my Office 2003 applications, not just Word. Thank
you....

Multiple Grayed Out Menu Items
Hi all,
I've gone through the threads in this group and have tried several
recommendations such as deleting reg keys, searching the KB, Google searchs,
etc.
I have removed normal.dot, global.dot hoping a new normal.dot would resolve
the issue.
Winword.exe /a lets me access all menu items in all dropdowns.
Some examples of grayed out items:
File | Save As, Save, Versions, Send...

Task Pane Does not open with Word
Hi:
I'm running Word XP Pro in Windows XP Pro and it does not open with
Task Pane --- no matter how hard I try.
It will open if I click on File / New or in View / Task Pane.
I did check off the option in Tools/ Option / View.
Did something get messed up in the Registry?

Cheers,
Lloyd Lindsay

Can't Change Measurement Units
I've recently upgraded someone to Word 2003 from Word 2000 and the user had
been originally using inches as her measurement units but word 2003 had
changed it to centimetres. So I had a look under Tools=>Options=>General and
then changed the measurement units to inches and then selected ok and nothing
changed. So I closed word and restarted the machine and the ruler was still
set t...

Word loses content of clipboard
Why is it that I can no longer copy some text into the clipboard from
another application, (for example the internet), and then launch Word 2000
and paste the text. For some reason the contents of the clipboard are wiped
clean when Word launches. I have to then go back to the original
application, copy again and then toggle back to Word and paste.
Thanks

Export AutoCorrect Entries
Does anyone know how to transfer AutoCorrect Entries from one user on Word
2003 to another user on Word 2003. I was able to print out the AutoCorrect
Entry List but would rather not have to type in all of them again. I saw a
knowledge base article on moving word AutoCorrect Entries between computers
in word 2000 but nothing on word 2003.
Thanks for the help.

Settings on Thumb Drive?
I'd like to save my Word settings -- toolbar, display, editing
preferences, autotext, etc. etc. -- onto a thumb drive, and load them
up when I use the computers in the lab, or a friend's computer.
Is that possible?

File Locations Tab Grey
I have a couple users that are having problems accessing the File Locations
Tab when you go to Tools | Options. The tab is greyed out, you can't click
on it or see any information under that tab. I have already tried repairing
Office by going through the Control Panel, repairing by using Detect and
Repair from the Help Tab in Word and I have also uninstalled and re-installed
Office, no...
