convert to utf8
hello
is there an api i can use to convert data from a word doc to utf8?
(just like word does when one saves doc to .txt and selects utf8 encoding)

What codification use word for chinese characters
Yes. On seeing a word document. Chinese chars are written as u99999...
codes. What kind of codification are used here. I must write a program to
create a rtf document in low level using these codes. I found unicode
useless for input chinese chars.

'Save As' options in Word
I have Office XP aka 2002 running on WinXP SP2. Have also
downloaded (I think) most recent updates for Office.
Have a regular need to create in Word, but then Save As
WordPerfect format.
2 problems:
a) most 'recent version' in save as list is WP 5.1 (WP is up
to 12, I have 10)
b) when I select that, I get an error which essentially says
'this format is for converting FROM.

word to txt
hello,
i have a client server program. on the server i am storing a bunch of
office (word, excel, etc...) files.
on the server i would like to convert them to flat text files. so i can
search for text.
are there any programs that will do this?
i would perfer a dll that can do it, stand alone. i would like to not have
to install office on my server if i can avoid it.

Word to jpg
Does anyone know of any COM components which can be used to convert
individual pages of a Word/Excel or Powerpoint document into jpeg
images?
