Moving a .pst file is seeking permissions?? HELP!
I am moving from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007. All goes well except when I
try to take my existing .pst file and either import it or move the whole file
over to 2007. I get a message that says "Access to file denied. You do not
have permissions to access this file..". Its the old 2003 file its referring
to. Same dialog box happens when I export the existing 2003 .pst file and

How do I prevent automatic downloading of email.
With Office 2000 I downloaded email only when I clicked send/receive. Can I
set Office 2007 to do the same thing?...

Win Mail Import to Outlook 2007?
I am using Windows Mail/Vista. If I install Outlook 2007, when I import my
emails, settings etc, will it import all of my folders (I have a bunch) and
their email contents? It's about 2500 emails.
Will they import as labeled "Imported Folders" underneath the regular list
of folders?
Will I be able to drag and drop them into the regular folders section?
Or, am I going to have to recre...

Office Outlook
When I try to open my Office Outlook it will bring up the message "Unable to
open your default email folders. The file is not an offline folder file.
Then I click ok and the program will close. I can't get it open at
all...what can I do to fix this?...

How do I change Outlook to manage CONTACTS ONLY, not email?
Is there a way to configure Outlook to manage contacts only? I don't use it
for email (I use MSN), and have 2000+ emails that are in the inbox. I think
if I delete them on Outlook, they'll be deleted from MSN? I don't want them
in both places. Help, please!...

Subject: Outlook Spell Check 2007 not working
I am running Outlook 2007 under Vista . . . also Microsoft Word 2007.
The spellcheck does not work in my outlook email messages . . . I can type
all sorts of gobbly-gook (for instance, "erqw30uavoiuwer") . . and the
spell checker says "spell check completed" . . . but does NOT find ANY errors.
The speller checker works fine in Microsoft Word 2007 . . . but does not
work at all in Out...

Attemting to re-install Outlook 2003
The problem is that during the install process I get a box that ask for
c:\windows\system32\mapisvc.inf where can I find this file? It provents me
from being able to re-install Outlook 2003...

outlook cached email address
Is there a way to copy the cached email addresses from one system to another?
I am an IT consultant and get a lot of complaints when upgrading client
systems.
They are not real good at adding contacts to their contact list and rely on
the cached addresses. But when you install a new system and transfer the pst
file you do not get the cache of email addresses.

why does outlook open an install window every time I start it
For the last few days, when I launch Outlook for the first time since boot up
it opens a window titled "Installing Components for Microsoft Office Outlook"
and in the body it says "Installing: Microsoft Office Outlook feature" with a
progress bar underneath.
Once this is complete the window closes and Outlook carries on as normal.

I cannot get Screensaver (photos) to work on a new laptop.
I have been configuring my new HP laptop. Screensaver does not work even
though it is set up identical to my previous laptop. It runs on the
"preview", but not in real life.
Anybody got any ideas.

Installing Outlook 2007

Currently if I select news in outlook it opens windows mail and I can read

i have about 50 users and i am replacing their computers for new computers, i
need to know is there a way to move or copy a users outlook settings menus
and tool bars from one computer to another computer. that have competely
customized their outlook and i see too much individual work ahead...

The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.
I just installed Outlook 2003. Upon first opening the tool, the

How Can I Enable RSS Feeds
I want to start using the RSS Feeds feature in Outlook. It appears, however,
that the functionality has been disabled because all relevant options are
either missing (no RSS Feeds tab in Account Settings) or greyed out (Add a
New Feed when right-clicking the RSS Feeds folder in my mailbox).

missing contacts when replying
I just upgraded pc's and have successfully reinstalled Outlook 2003 and
copied my outlook 2003 pst file to the new pc (vista system).
I can see the complete contact list etc when on the main outlook page, so I
know I have pointed the program to the correct pst file.
but when I try to reply to an email, and wish to cc someone, I cannot view
the contacts that I know are there.

Automatically configure Outlook when Server is on another domain?
It is Exchange 2003 mail with Outlook 2003 on XP Pro.
In the past I have setup Outlook 2003 to automatically create the user's
Outlook profile when the Exchange server used the user's local login
credentials to access their mailbox and it worked fine. All they did was
click on the Outlook icon and the Outlook profile was done for them the first
time they logged in.

Outlook 2007 mssg .pst file too big..upgrade to 2003 or 2007
I have been using Outlook 2007 for a little less than a year. I have started
receiving an error message that my .pst file is too large, consider
archiving, deleting old items or changing to outlook 2003 or 2007. Of course

Installing Windows Office Outlook 2003 on laptop with XP
After installation this message appears and aborts the opening of Outlook:
"Cannot start MS Office Outlook MAP132.DLL is corrupt or wrong version.
This could have been caused by installking other messaging software. Please

DL-modified dates-exporting
it would have been nice if you had explained the importance of "modified
dates" and exporting instead of the clue comment.
indeed, i have to export my win mail stuff to outlook, if i don't want 2500
emails to have the date of import, rather than their original dates.
