Outlook 2003 SP3 is not working with OpenLDAP
I am unable to query OpenLDAP from Outlook...yet Mozilla's Thunderbird works
fine with OpenLDAP.
Outlook is not passing in the Search Base (dn="" in the debug for slapd).
I am not the only one seeing this:

Outlook 2007 new contacts - Dean
I seem to have lost the ability to add a new contact to Outlook 2007.
I get to the Address Book:Contacts dialofg box. Then I choose File,
New Entry, New Contact, then OK.
I fill in the display as, home (telephone) and full name fields and it
seems to put the full name response into the displayed as field
automatically.
I then hit save and close. There is no error message, but the new

Contacts missing Ful Name and addresses incorrect
This just happened in the past few days. We have recently changed out our
mobile phones and I do not know if that is related.
Problem:
Looking at contacts in Outlook and on mobile devices some fileds are empty
such as Full Name and address which were populated a few days ago. If you
open a contact and select the Full Name button, it will populate the full
name field (in 2007, but not...

Contacts
I have my own personal contact groups in Outlook, but when I send new
message, choose "TO" to select the group, it does not show up in the global
address section, there is no contact selection to choose from, only the gal,
all contacts which is blank, all groups does not show my group?

Send e-mail using another person's exchange contacts?
I use Outlook 2007.
I am using the Exchange Server to access another co-worker's contacts. I
would like to use their contacts as my default contact list or add it to the
list of contacts to check when sending messages.
For example when I send an e-mail I want to type in a name from their
contact list and have it populate as it would when using my contacts folder.
Is this possible?

Emailing to entire address book
Is there an easy way to put my entire address book on the To: line of an

Contacts wont show up but address book is there.
I'm using Outlook 2007 and I have some Address Books that wont show up in my
contacts. When I go into the account settings -> Address Book tab -> Change
- all the address books are there. Also if I bring up the address books in
TO or any of that they are there, I just cant seem to get them back as
contact lists....

putting smaller distribution lists into one large DL
In Outlook HELP, it says "If your e-mail server tells you that your
distribution list is too large to save, you can create smaller distribution
lists and include them in the large distribution list."
How do I do this? When I go to add members to the large list, the smaller
DL's do not show up to add....?...

Importing
When importing contacts, is there a way to choose which group they should be
imported to? If so, how can you do this.
Right now I am importing my contacts from quickbooks and this program
actually tells me when there are any new additions. However, it sends it to
my contacts list in Outlook and I really would like it in a specific place. ...

Look up names from Global
I have a list of usernames that when I paste into the To: box and click
"Check Names" they get updated with the names from the Global Address Book.
How do I pull info from the Global Addresses with this list? Basically I
need the fields "x" and "y" from the Global Address book for these people.

Sending Blank emails
I am having a problem with Outlook2000 sending blank emails when I send to

Forwarding Shared Contacts
I scanned a bunch of business cards and transferred them to Outlook, then
"shared" them with other in my office. Now if they try to forward the
contact, the email that is automatically generated says From: (my name),
instead of From: (them). I have noticed this on multiple computers. They
can just remove my name and insert their own, but it's an extra step that I
don't feel should be...

Manually created distribution lists not working on new pc
I have a user who has created several distribution lists on an old pc. She
had the pc refreshed and on the new pc , the distribution lists appear, even

I was in the middle of organizing my contacts when I lost power. It came
back on a few minutes later but when I opened Outlook Express, all my
contacts were gone. If I search for a specific name I can find it but it

I lost my outlook contacts while syncing with cell phone
i just got a new cell phone, the shadow, and when i plugged it in to sync my
outlook contacts a window popped up that said certain contacts could not be
syncronized. I clicked on OK and all the contacts that weren't synced were

Outlook distribution list names in contacts
I have an established distribution list in Outlook. Most of the name were
added from existing contacts. I found that I can also add names on the fly by
just clicking "add new". This allows me to add the name and email address but
nothing else. How do I get these names into my contact list? i notice that

can trial version data transfer to an update installation later?
Have a new computer with Office 2007 trial on it. I also have unused
installation of Office 2003 that I could install then buy the update if I
like it enough to warrant spending the money. If I start with the trial
version, then install an update, with the data, especially the .pst files
transfer into the update version? This is Sunday, I need to do this

Display and entering name issues
I have trolled through the questions here and found similar problems to mine
but none of the suggestions I've tried have fixed my problem.
Firstly, I have Office 2007 on a new computer and I am dealing with entering

Easily popiulating a 2nd contact list
Hi- I created an additional contact list, let's call it "list B" in outlook.
I have an email to about 500 people w/ all the names in a new mail message
