Prioritize appointments/events on the calendar?
Is there a way to prioritize in what order appointments or events show up on
the monthly calendar view? I would like a particular category to always be
the top item. Also, just a curiousity [ok, a silly question] - What is the
difference between an appointment and an event? Thanks for any help.. ...

automaticly adding repetion for my learn calendar
hi everyone
im a student and trying to find a way to force/remind my self to
repeate continiously during the course of the semester. Does anyone
know how I can bring Outlook to organize my repetition calendar. X
would be the date of my lecture, which I would diarise by myself so
outlook should diarise repetitions on x+24h, x+2days, x+4d, x+10d ...
and so on

How do I word wrap Calendar events when I print a Calendar?
I just started using Outlook 2007. However, the new Outlook Calendar does
not word wrap an event description as it appears online once I print out the
calendar. All of the events are truncated, e.g., an event for November 16
might read "Dinner with L..." once it is printed out, while the online
calendar displays the entire event description as "Dinner with Lisa". I hope

Conditional Formatting alert for x date entries in any 12 months?
Excel
Conditional Formatting date formula: x dates in any 12 month period.
e.g.
5 cells will have dates entered. If those dates all fall within any 12 month
period the conditional formatting will activate.

Outlook 2003 weekdays and recurring appointments
As I live and work in the UAE, I have amended by work week to reflect the
work week in the UAE, this being Sunday to Thursday. However, whenever I use
recurring appointment bookings it seems to ignore this and reverts to a Mon -
Fri work week within the calendar system. Is there are any way to overcome
this problem or is the Mon - Fri hard coded in Outlook to ignore the user
configurable...

Subject not changing in meeting updates
I have a user with an interesting issue.
She sent out meeting invitations. They had a subject of "Meeting - Group"
(for example). She then realized she wanted to change the subject to "Meeting
- New Group". She saved and closed, and updates were sent out.
She received acceptances from the invitees, for both the original and the
update, and they have the correct subjects.

Outlook crashes on receipt of meeting forwarded notification
I have a small number of users who, when they receive an email notification
that a meeting request they sent has been forwarded to another user, their
Outlook crashes. We are using Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2003. We have
13,000 users and only a half dozen or so experience this issue.

To add resources in Outlook AppointmentItem, not marking them?
It is necessary to add in the program at creation in Outlook object the
invitation to meeting (AppointmentItem, event Item_Open ()) all possible
resources (collection AppointmentItem. Recipients with AppointmentItem.
Recipients (i) .Type=olResource).
Thus resources should be not chosen - similarly to if on the tab Planning to
remove a flag of a choice of a resource.

Not prompted to edit single occurrence of recurring appointment (2
I'm using Outlook 2003 (although I have Office 2003 and 2007 installed). It
seems that there are times when I click on a recurring appointment to edit
it, and do not get prompted as to whether I want to edit just that occurrence
vs the entire series. It just opens the entire series and there is no way to

Appointments flash open during creation
Hi,
I have a program that creates many appointments into an outlook calendar.
This is done in a thread with theThread.IsBackground = true; and the
appointment display set to false, apptItem.Display(false);
When the thread runs each appointment flicks open and then closes on the
screen for each appointment creation(Very annoying). How do I stop this from
happening?

How can I sync my iPhone to Outlook running on Windows on a Mac?
Outlook is the only thing that keeps me on a Windows machine at all.
But I want to use an iPhone instead of a BlackBerry. Is there a way to

Recurring Appointment moved after June 1, 2009
A recurring appointment that was created on our COO's calendar in 2005,
suddenly moved from 8-9 to 7-8. If you look at his calendar every Monday
prior to June 1, 2009 it is scheduled from 8-9, but from June 1, 2009 on it
is scheduled from 7-8. I am told it was never scheduled from 7-8.
The problem is, there are some here and there before and after 06/01 that
they have moved a meetin...

Allow someone to add calendar event without permission
Currently I allow someone to add MANY daily event to my calendar and it
requires me to Accept the event, then reply to my response and then
acknowledge the reminder.
Can I just grant someone permission to add the events without my need to
interact ?
I don't want to share my inbox.

Outlook 2007 calendar backgraound colours
I've just upgraded from 2003 to 2007 and am getting used to the change
from labels to coloured categories OK. But what makes my month view
calendar look really confusing is the background colours that are
applied to each date.

Multiple lines in appointment subjects?
For many years I used a pda (palm) in which I often enter multi-lines for
the subject of a appointment.
And, when inside of outlook (2003) I simply type in the multi-line text into
the "big" text area down below for the comments section when making the
appointment, and then go cut + paste into the subject. This works well and
allows one to insert multi-line subjects in my appointments.

Renaming a shared calendar
I am sharing one of my calendars with fellow employees and it shows up in
their Outlook with my name and then the name of the calendar. Is there a way
that it can just show up in their Outlook with the name of the calendar?

Invite an additional person
If I am booking a meeting and there are several invitees and after I have
sent the request I realize that I missed a person. I can open the meeting
request, add the person the list – is there a way of sending the request to
only that 1 extra person or does the meeting request get sent out to all the
people that were previously invited all over again. ...

Importing schedule info from airline websites into Outlook calenda
Once reservations are booked, most airline and hotel websites have a button
similar to "add to outlook". Very rarely does this feature work for me.
Rather, I usually receive the following message:
"Cannot import vCalendar file. Could not complete the operation. One or more
parameter values are not valid".
I am looking for help on how to get around this issue.

Organizer Loses Control of the Meeting
I schedule a lot of meeting, many of them reoccurring meetings. This also
means RE-scheduling a lot of meetings.
Normally if I open a meeting to reschedule a meeting I own, it will have the
To: field with all the names of the participants. Other times I open a
meeting I own to reschedule it and it says "Organizer" with my name without
