How do I customize the "details page" of a Business contact
I have learned to customize and add fields to the "general" page of a
business contact but when I go into the developer, I cannot find a way to
move fields around or customize the "details" page. Can this be done?...

BCM DB shared on Small Business Server
Hi,
Does anyone have the good document, or known KB, or even better the
experience of setting up a BCM DB on a Small Business Server so that
the clients using Outlook 2003 with the BCM client software installed
can all simultaneously access the BCM DB?

BCM Error when opening Office Applications
Hello,
This morning I installed a new patch for Outlook (KB933493). Ever since I
have installed it, I'm getting a pop-up window when I open any of the other
Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) that states: "Office
application version does not match".
The reason why I'm posting this in the BCM group is because the pop-up
window has a title of "BCM Office Addin." It seems as ...

Any correct way to disconnect temporarily BCM from Outlook 2007 ?
I need sometimes to start "clean" Outlook with mail/calendar data only but
without BCM connected to it. Sometimes it's also necessy to "lock" BCM
information on PC, so that another person working under same Windows account
could not alter it by accident.
In Outlook 2003 with BCM I used very "rude" solution - stopped BCM system
service via Administration tools -> Services and temporar...

Transfer or copy Business Contact Manager Categories
I had to take Business Contact Manager off one machine and put it on another
machine. I was able to export the contacts and import them on the new
machine but I haven't been able to find out how to transfer the Categories to
the new machine. I really don't want to retype them.
Anyone know how to do this?...

Pocket PC BCM and New Laptop
I got my laptop stolen and need to get my BCM information from my WM2003 into
my newly installed BCM for Office 2007 on vista. I have installed the
lastest windows mobile device center. When I go to sync up I don't have an
option for BCM anymore under content sync setttings. Any help would be much
appreciated....

Running BCM on Terminal Services
We have installed BCM on our terminal server successfully but when we open
Outlook 2007 through a Citrix session we get a message saying "...Outlook
must be running in Cached Mode...". Cached Mode is not available in Windows
2003 Terminal Services. Does anyone have any ideas how to get BCM running
through Citrix/Terminal Services?

Mail Merge into subject line
I would like to be able to customize the subject line of my marketing
emails. For example it would be nice to have the subject line read:
xyz information regarding 123 technoolgy for xxx, where xyz =
technolgy company; 123 = the specific technology and xxx = company we
are contacting.
For the record - all companies have opted in for my emails.
Any suggestions that do not use 3rd party so...

How Do I move one field to another Form
I am trying to move the spouse field from the "details" part of the contact
form to the general form and connot seem to be able to do this. I cannot seem
to find a way to customize the details form page. It will only allow me to
customize the general page.
I have spent way too much time researching this. Is this such a difficult
task or am I just completely out of the loop here?...

Trying to install Business Contact Manager Upgrade
I get a need to enable file and print sharing. When I get to the Network
Connections icon I right click on wireless network connection (which is what
I have) and right click to select properties the instructions say there is a
general tab for a local connection (which according to the instructions I

Quickbooks 7 and Business Contact Manager problem
Hi, We are currently testing business contact manager with syncing to
Quickbooks Enterprise 7.0 r5
We setup our QB customers with Point of Sale locations as JOBS.
CUST-A
- POS-A (job)
- POS-B (job)
- POS-C (job)
- and so on..
The problem is BCM syncs only the CUST-A level and not the JOB.
Is there any work-around to this problem?

Opportunities
Under opportunities when you select “closed won†it locks the standard BCM
fields so they cannot be altered, can the feature be applied to the fields i
have created? – on the same page as currently it does not lock my new fields ...

Auto Email Linking
Using Outlook 2003 BCM all latest updates on Windows xp....
The auto email linking to a contact is the greatest feature, and use to work

Can we get some more VB code for BCM3?
Some super-helpful vb snippets were posted in the past month or two to help
makde BCM more usable, like toobar buttons to create a business note, quick
letter, etc.
Can we get a blog post or newgroup post with more of these while we wait

export report to excel problems
Hello,
Everytime I export an opportunity report to excel the numbers are multiplied
by 10 or 1000 for instance 90% becomes 900% and 2.400€ becomes 2.400.000€.
Although I am convinced my boss will prefer these numbers I really need to
find a solution.

Database - language trouble with BCM 2007
I have set out to make the BCM work in a small network enviroment, but I have
run into some problems.
On my P2P server with Windows XP, I've installed .NET Framework 2.0 and MS
SQL EXPRESS.
I used the BCM DatabaseTool to install and share the database.

Keep Getting Reminders
I'm using BCM 2007 and have about 30 opportunities. I keep getting
reminders even though I do not have reminders setup. I even say DISMISS ALL
and they keep coming back. Any suggestions? No, I did not have beta
software installed.
