Mails not autolinked 2 accounts if "Display as" field too complica
Can someone confirm this?
I noticed that in some cases incoming emails are not auto-linked to
accounts, though all data in contact fields is filled.
I noticed also that it seems to happen with companies who have "complicated"
name (for example Global Investments (India) Pvt., Ltd. (Rajesh Group)) and
respectively complicated "Display as" field in Email group.

Contact history is doubling all history items in BCM 2003?
Two questions...
1. History items are recored twice, one is the original email message and
the other is a business note. Did I do something to initiate this?
Also, are there any conflicts in having duplicate contacts in BCM and
Outlook Contacts? The reason I have duplicate contacts is because I cannot
sync BCM contacts with my phone, only Outlook contacts.

Help with Outlook BCM - Column formatting and Groups
I am using Outlook 2007 with BCM.
I have 2 questions... Please help if you can
1. I am made a few custom views in BCM and everytime I try and format a
column width it defaults back to the original size which does not fit the
data. I have tried defining the views and using the format column button

Any tweak for ugly division of "Account" name into First & Last na
When "Account" is created in BCM, which in most cases is name of a company,
Outlook (or BCM?) internally divide this account name into "First" and "Last"
name, so for example "Great Shoes Co., Ltd." turns into two parts - First
name = "Ltd." and Second name = "Great Shoes Co."

How could I link to account few (many) items at once?
quite weird, I cannot select few emails and link them to account. are there
any trick?
I have a person who left company and I need to re-link all emails sent to
this person (from his "History" tab) to account / company he earlier belonged
to.
No way! Only one by one. I hate monkey job of re-linking messages one by
one... any simple solution?...

BCM running in Vista
I'm running the latest BCM in Windows XP SP2 with Office 2007. I rely on it
heavily for scheduling everything. I'd love to be able to run my Vista
Business edition which is on another partition of the drive, but when I run
BCM in Vista I constantly get a message stating that "BCM could not complete
the last task" then Outlook fails and restarts. Makes it a little tough to
get work don...

Flat File Import
Hi,
New to BCM so apologies if dumb question.
I have a flat, non-normalised spreadsheet with business contacts which needs
to be imported into BCM. Obviously I can just import it as Business Contacts
- the question is how do I also then set up the Accounts and link the
contacts based on that ? Any shortcuts ? Doing this manually for 4000
contacts doesn't sound fun....

Account / Company / Department (2007)
I am just starting to set up a database using 2007, and want to ensure the
format I choose will work in the long-term.

OpenProperty: cannot open properties which are computed
Hi all,
I have Office Pro 2003 with BCM; today I have also installed BCM 2.0 with the latest hotfixes and service packs, including the latest .NET 2.0 updates. Inspite of this I receive the above very annoying error message each time I try to save a business contact, even if nothing have been changed.

Strange behaviour of BCM and DNS setup
Hello all,
I had successfully setup BCM 2003 on our Exchange 2003 server and
could access it via a number of SBS clients also running Outlook 20003
against the the SBS 2003 server. The SBS server and exchange server
are the same machine. All was well until one or two users reported
intermittent faults, the classic SPS context error. Anyway, after a

BCM 2007 Publisher 2007 Marketing Campaign Merge Issue
I created a marketing campaign in Publisher, select start a marketing
campaign (or start the marketing campaign from BCM first - same problem
either way).
In Publisher, I add the fileds for the merge and select send e-mail.
Publisher does its thing, shows the 1st contact's name on the form, sends the

BCM and Accounting issue-Survey: I can't be the only person...
I use BCM and Accounting Professional 2007. I have so far been fairly happy
except for a few things that I think BCM and MOA needs. I can't believe that
no one has posted anything on here yet.
1. I do most everything in BCM-create invoices, categorize my clients, track

Migrating Previous BCM Database to Outlook 2007

Just installed OFFICE ULTIMATE 2007 - including OUTLOOK w/ BCM and ACCOUNTING
2007 EXPRESS.

office outlook 2007
Just purchased office outlook 2007. downloaded it. Now i get the message
Business manager encountered a problem and needs to shut down. I have
unistalled the program and reinstalled with the same results. what do i need
to do to fix the problem? Is there a way of deleting business maager or

Configuring BCM to use an SQL database
I've used the new BCM DB Tool to create a BCM database on a server that has a
full SQL Server instance. My workstation connects to this database fine,
using the following connection string:
SERVERNAME\MSSQLSERVER,1433

Access 2003 to Outlook 2003 contacts email address is not truncat.
I have successfully imported from Access 2003 to Outlook 2003 contacts.
Chances to fields are made in Access. Periodically I update to Outlook. For
some reason lately the email text 50 field in Access is being drawn into the
Outlook email display name as John Jones (john@junk.net__________________).
This is not being accepted as a valid email address. Could a copy and paste

Email History not available to other users
emails have been successfully linked to Account/Business Contacts and an
Opportunity. But when another user goes to view the History in the
Account/Business Contact/Opportunity the attachments are not available. It
would appear that only attachments that are on your own machine can be seen.
Can these attachments be viewed by other users....
