I only have 4 categories in BCM, but its not accepting new ones
It says I can have up to 50 categories in BCM. I only have 4. But when I try
to add another category, the message says it can only have 50 categories.
What's wrong?...

BCM 2003 Cannot find Element
Hello,
I have troubles running BCM on a second PC. The installation works
well but after starting outlook and BCM configuration i get the
following error: "Cannot find element" (My Installation is German so
the original error message is : Das Element kann nicht gefunden
werden).
I use Outlook 2003 SP2 and the latest BCM installation. The same thing

Is BCM 2007 for Outlook 2007 a big improvement?
I initially used BCM with Outlook 2003 and it seemed to have so many problems
that it was unclear that MS would actually fix it moving forward, so I quit
using it.
Has MS actually fixed it, is it more usuable? Is it more integrated into
Outlook, because before it just felt like a separate applcation that just
happend to build a new contact folder.
My Issues before were:

Separate BCM Files
Does BCM support more than one database? If so, how is a name assigned to a
specific database? How would the second BCM database be created? Does the
BCM file have a specific extension? In which default folder is the BCM
database stored?...

Outlook 2007 BCM messed up Excel Icon
When I installed the BCM part of Outlook 2007 the desktop icon for my Excel
2007 went away and was replaced by some generic looking icon. What gives?
Note: Funky short cut icon and Excel still work just fine, but I'm an anal
retentive engineer type and I want my Excel 2007 icon back! LOL...

Errors
Have just loaded BCM to o/look 2003. Everything seemed OK. But cannot get
tool bar at top to appear. Have made sure all programs are updated, repaired
both outlook and BCM. Uninstalled BCM. Nothing has worked. I get the BCM
folders in the viewing apne down the left side of the screen But there is no
oportunities or anything. All I see in search folder and deleted folder.
Please help....

Transfering flags to a new computer?
I have successfully transfered my outlook and BCM data to my new laptop. The
only thing that did not seem to transfer is my long list of follow-up flags.
Is there a way to transfer this from one computer to another?

Share Database between BCM 2003 and 2007
We are using BCM 2003 at my worksplace currently. We are going to be
upgrading over the next few months to 2007 but we would like to make it a
slow process and train on the way.
Is there a way for the people who have already upgraded to 2007 access and
update databases still being used by people running BCM 2003 and vise versa?...

Business Contact Manager was unable to initialize this form
When I open my Outlook Business Contact Manager Accounts or contacts I

Any possibility to increase quantity of Email addresses in BCM?
only 3 email addresses can be assigned to any contact. A lot of my contacts
have more than 3 email addresses, including those they use for MSN chats or
something. Are there any means to inrease quantity of email accounts assigned
to each contact? Would be really useful.
Surely I would expect that "autolink" feature works with those additional
emails also, otherwise I could enter them in "...

IM address field is not functional if Outlook 2007 installed over

Why can't Business contact manager initialize a form?
I cannot read existing Business Contacts or add new ones. The message is
that "Business Contact Manager was unable to initialize this form". This
only seems to affect the General tab of the accounts and business contacts
window....

Linked calender appointment with contact
When I create an appointment I select the contact first then righ-click make
an appointment
The appointment then shows in the history of the contact.
BUT
The oppointment on the calender is dumb and forces me to input a great deal
of infomraiton.

ACT! History fields not converting
During/After conversion ......not able to map or find:
- Date
- Time
- Record Manager
in the history form.
Instead.... 'creation date' and 'created by' are viewed and populated with

Can't put new catagories in BCM
When I try to put a new category for my contact, I keep getting a message
that BCM only allows 50 categories. However, I only have about 8 categories
up to now. And I don't have any records in the Account or Opportunities
section either. How can I add categories in BCM without running into this

Copy a Contact
Does anyone know if there is a way of copying a contact?
I am manual entering a large volume of accounts and contacts, many of which
have the same contact details. My life would be a whole lot easier if I
could type it all in once, then copy it and simply change the name on the 2nd
version.

Email from project
Is there a way when you select a new history email item for the email
to be populated with the info from the business contact that is linked
to a project also to email to the related conatct on the project.
I need to track the communication to the related contacts by projects.
