Opportunity field in BCM
Hello,
I can no longer access or update my opportunities in Outlook 2007 BCM. Does
anyone have a suggestion. I ran Office diagnostic, shut down and restarted
Outlook (I have an Exchange server) and the PC.

BCM cannot save the item-it cannot recongnize some of the properti
I have Vista/Outlook 2007/BCM 2007 with Customizations + SBA integration.
When I try to create a record I receive "Business Contact Manager cannot save
the item because it can not recongnize some of it's properties."
Everything worked for a while just fine. But now I cannot create Accounts,
Business Contacts, Business Projects, Opportunities, or really any record at
all no matter ho...

Could not load object (Project) because it is not on this machine.
I all of the sudden started getting this error message when tring to open a
any and all projects in BCM.

I read other threads and found out where to turn error reporting on but

BCM on Axim X50V
I was running Outlook 2003 w/BCM with XP Pro on my laptop and running BCM on
my Axim X50V (with 2003 second edition) and everything was fine. I upgraded
to Outlook 2007 on my laptop and was then having problems syncing with Axim.
I reinstalled ActiveSync 4.5 but that did not help. I then uninstalled BCM
on Axim and tried reinstalling. When I try to install the latest version

Help Installing BCM 2007
I was able to install nearly the entire Office 2007 Professional Suite on my
Vista pc, but my system will not install BCM. SQL Express installed
properly.
I have searched through the forums, but I haven't found a solution. I have
checked the error log and it states that I have a 1935 error code.

I want to change the address book the contacts icon shows
How do I change the address book that Contacts is defaulted to? I have
installed business contacts and would prefer that everytime I create a
contact it automatically saves in the business contacts manager "address
book"....

messaging interface has returned an unknown error.
When I try and empty (or delete) my deleted items folder in outlook, I
receive the following message: messaging interface has returned an unknown
error. If the problem persists, restart outlook.
I would create a new outlook data file, but I don't want to lose my address

Crash & Slow
I have spen several hours with MS tech suport trying to fix the slow BCm and
Outlook 2007 crashing. I was trying to convert from the latest Act to BCM.
BCM would not search, and ourlook would have to check the database everytime
I open outlook.
I updated the SQL. When I asked the MS tech about buying sql 2007, he said
it was bulkerer and probably slower.

Lon: Have you given up on Act! 2007?
Or are you just adding BCM to your bag of supported software?
I ask because I'm trialling Act! 2007, which I never thought I would after
the ACt 2005 debacle, and I actually like it...
Thoughts?
And nore importantly, do you know of a 3rd party chat forum other than the
one hosted by Act! ( which is anemic ) where I can read some poop about the
product and tips & tricks?

Connect Outlook and BCM 2003 to Accounting 2006
I am trying to use the "track billable time" feature of Outlook with BCM
update. I've tried to attach to the Accounting 2006 database and I can see
the database but when I choose it, it only comes back with computer name and
not Company Name and keeps the OK greyed out. I've checked my rights to the
Accounting database and I'm setup with Accountant rights.

Possible New User and deleting emails, etc.
I am looking to get Outlook with BCM. What happens when you are using BCM and
you delete emails or tasks, etc. from your inbox that have to do with a
customer, etc. in your contact list? Does that delete those items from your
contact history also? like in regular Outlook or does it store it under that
Contact forever?

Adding a new field to the business contact manager.
I'm trying to enter a field in my business contact manger. I want the field
"cell" added but can not seem to be able to do this. Does anyone know if Im
waseing my time or can they send me in a direction to research this.

Syncing with BCM
I just "upgraded" from Office 2003 w/BCM to Office 2007 w/BCM. My sync with
2003 worked fine, but with 2007 BCM does not sync correctly. If I change
the detail on the PC (running XP Pro) it seems to change on the Axim X50V.
If I change the detail for the same contact on the Axim it does not change
of the PC. There are other things about the sync which also do not work. I

view project name in task list
I set up a project and set tasks to do within that BCM Project
It show up ion taks with what to do but does not show the project name
A normal task shows the contact
But this is blank
If I have 40 tasks every day evolving from over 10 years I need to know for
what or whom this task is for....

Shared Tasks Lists
Ok so the Owner of the company has his own task list, and the he has 5
employees who have their own tasks lists. The employees have shared their
task lists with the owner so that he has a total of 6 taks lists to manage
the work flow of the office.
He can modify the employee task lists with notes or changing the dates, but

Creating a template of tasks for a project
I like the improvements made in BCM 2007 and want to use it more than I did
previous versions. My question relates to setting up projects and the tasks
within those projects. I am a consultant and the tasks on virtually every
project are the same. Is there anyway when I start a project I can default to

Back up or copy custom forms built with trial version
I am using the trial version of BCM and decided to buy it. I'm not buying it
via an unlock code. I'll have new CD's to install. I'm worried that once I
install the new full version...I'll lose my custom forms I created with the
trial version? How do I save or back up my custom forms?...

BCM Sync Problem
I just switched to Outlook 2007 and I am having with syncing. I am using
Active sync 4.5 and I have 2003 SE on my Axim X50V. It appears that the
sync may work from the PC to the Axim but not the other way. I did not
upgrade anything on the Axim when I upgraded to 2007.
Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution?

Customizing Views for BCM 2007
When I am viewing a contacts history, I cannot find any customize view
options to see "project name".
Some Biz Contacts have multiple projects and I would like to customize the
history view so that I can see phone logs, emails, notes, by which project it
related too. What I do now is put the project name in the subject line so I
at least see it there, but then Ihave to search for the subj...

I have a BCM database installed on our server and am able to grant access to
it via the command promt on the server. However, i was wondering how to set
permission levels for these users or is that even possible?? (i.e. - can add

Adding Custom Tables to BCM2007 Database
Hello,
is there any possible way of adding custom tables storing additional /
editable Information for Dropdown-Fields, Listviews etc. in BCM 2007
and is it possible to synchronize those tables regarding the on-
offline feature of BCM2007?
Is it possible to edit standard forms like "opportunity" and add for
example a button, which starts .NET or - if it has to be - VBA code?
