Outlook should add billable links to Accounting OLD records
It would be nice in Outlook BCM to be able to link OLD phone calls, emails,
tasks etc. into Accounting Professional 07. For example I have a email
(billable time) I didn't create a billable item and saved it, now when I see
the error I can not link it in for invoicing.

Cant export business history
Ihave BCMv2 and am trying to export to a CSV file for import into Entourage.
I t appears to be exporting all main fields but not my business history -
phone log, notes etc. Help? Thanks in advance.

Cannot select MSBusinesContactManager as Database
Had a crash and restored my system. Using outlook 2007 and business contact
manager 2007, Upon restoration, the only db option is create or select a
msSmallBusiness database. The file is was using MSBusinessContact Manager.

Sharing BCM database on SQL 2000 Server
I installed BCM 2003 on on XP computer, shared it and then copied it to our
SQL 2000 server. I enable dnamed pipes and TCP/IP to use port 56183.
However, when I try to connect my users to the database they can not locate
any databases on our server. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....

Business Contact Manager vs. OnContact
Does anyone out there use a software package called OnContact? If you do and
also know the capabilities of Outlook 2007/Business Contact Manager my
question is: Does Outlook/Bus. Contact do everything this package does?
Seems to me it does, however I want to run it by others that may know....

Where can I get a database layout for the BCM database?
Is Business Contact Manager documented? I would like to find a “database
layout†so I know which fields are already there and what causes them to be
updated on a field by field basis. Obviously some fields are updated by
user input, but others are triggered by some other event. Heck, I don’t even
know what fields exist at this point.
Maybe we don't need that kind of informa...

Locking certain fields based on user
I am wanting to know if there is a way to lock fields such as the assigned to
field. This would be for a manager to assign accounts to sales people and
prevent the sales people from just assigning it to another sales person. This
would also allow us to track sales people progress by making sure they are

My Outlook 2007 keeps freezing on laptop (pc doesn', 2003 didn't.
I have installed office 2007 on my laptop. No issues with Word, Excel.
Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager keeps freezing up on me. I have
also installed the instant search function and RSS feed which are new with 07
version. I don't have these issues on my PC which I synchronize with when at
my home office.

Hide Fields or Lock Fields
I am wanting to know if there is a way to lock certain fields to certain
users. for example if a manager assignes sales people to certain accounts.
the sales people can not change the assigned to field. this would prevent a
sales person from taking all the easy accounts away from another sales

Link and Emial Autolink multiple records

Plugin or TP software for sales call trackingn
Does anyone have a suggestion for a plugin or third-party solution for
Outlook 2007 BCM that will provide a dashboard view of sales calls,
opportunities, follow up similar to ACT!, Goldmine, etc?
I've been using BCM since the first version which wasn't very sales-call
centric. I thought that there would be more of this in 2007, but it seems
that the CRM initiative is where that went.

Office 2003 - BCM eliminating duplicate records
My problem started when i installed 2007 streets and maps. It modified my
Outlook 2003 calendar, but also seemed to have deleted the BCM database. I
reloaded a back up copy. Surprise, Streets and Maps installation had just
changed my display setting back to some MS default. Upshot now I have
duplicate business contact records for almost evey contact.

Merge contact into word template
While evaluating converting to this new BCM from ACT!, I spent six hours
trying to find how to send a letter template to a contact and finally have
arrived here. I simply CAN NOT believe that Microsoft does not have a main
ribbon button (3 click process) to fill in name and address in a letter

"working on my personal computer with BCM,
I can create an "Account" but when I tried to create a "business contact",
I have received the following pop-up error msg.

business contacts manager and windows mobile 5.0
I have just installed Business Contacts Manager on my laptop and have also

Setup failed to install the following products: Business Contact M
When installing disk 2 of the setup, I get the message:
"Setup failed to install the following products
Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007"
No error messages are displayed and it just asks me to click on Finish and
the
installation then aborts. I used to have Outlook 2003 with BCM and I'm now

noticed is when sending a business contact to everyone, Outlook wants to save
it as a normal contact, not a business contact. Is there a way to send
