Error creating offline database
Hi
Im trying to create an offline database, this gets almost to the end and
then it stops and gives an error 'Business Contact Manager for outlook could
not complete you last action or actions. Please try again'
the database is approx 1/2GB
i can connect to the remote database ok, i just cant seem to create an
offline version
i have check to make sure the SQL Server(MSSMLBIZ) is ...

turn opportunities in projects & clean projects lists
I have 2 questions regarding the BCM 2007.
Is possible to link a "Closed Won" opportunity to a business project. This
business project is the result that prospect originated, and thus, it might
be usefull to to keep all the history of the opportunity linked to the new
history? The idea is that the history of the business project links to the
past history of the opportunity.

BCM 07 w/Office 03?
Is this a bad idea? I'm not sure I'm ready to upgrade completely to Office 07
but I WANT BCM 07. Does anyone have successful experience with just
installing OL & BCM 07 with Office 03 Pro installed? Any negatives?...

BCM Integration with Accounting
BCM had an "Account" and Accounting 2007 had the same as a "Customer." After
integrating it created a duplicate "Account" in BCM (with slightly different
history and contact info). How do I merge the two "Accounts" in BCM?
Or do I have to manually update one and delete the other?

Create Accounting Customer from BCM info
After integrating Accounting and BCM, no new "customers" were created in
Accounting from the BCM "accounts." I would like to create an Accounting
"customer" from the info already entered in BCM. Is this an import function?
If so, how do I know which file to import?
It would be real nice if there was a tool option to just "add to accounting
customers" (or vendors) in BCM.

SQL issue loading BCM
I am getting an error message when loading BCM and it ahs to do with SQL and
a previous installation. Here is the message from the bootstrap log:

BCM 2007 & Vista: Connecting over a VPN
Hi,
I've set up our BCM db on SQL Server 2005 and my laptop can connect fine on
the LAN. I have also an offline db on the laptop for when I'm out of the
office. It syncs fine when I get back to the LAN.
Now I have a vpn client that enables me to connect to the office when I'm
out but the db refuses to go online, saying that it cannot connect to the
server. At the same time, Outlook...

BCM Smartphone
Wow, the BCM Smartphone sync is here. Very happy, but how do I get
the numbers to be dialed? ie. When i start to type the letters of a
Business Contact, the number for the contact doesn't seem to come up.
Does caller id work? It seems like the Business Contacts are a
island.

Sorting hHstory to view only documents associated with Contact.
I have been using Act! to manage my contacts for the last several years and
switched to BCM last week. In Act! you had the ability to sort a contacts
history to only view the documents associated with them. I have yet to find
this in BCM. Is there anyway to make a custom field to accomplish this? Any
help would be great.

Importing Accounts and Contacts from Outlook
Like many others, I'm sure, I've just taken the plunge to upgrade "standard"
Outlook 2007 to include BCM
I want to be able to import my Outlook Contacts both into Accounts (for the
"top level" companies) and into Business Contacts for the individual contacts.
So far, I've been able to import my Outlook Contacts into Business Contacts,
but I can't seem to be able to import anything into Acc...

French BCM Database not being seen by US BCM! Why
I have a BCM database created on the French version of BCM 2007 and the U.S.
version of BCM won't recognize it! And this happens the other way as well.
I can attach the database using the SQL Server Management Express but when I
go and try to select the database, it is nowhere available.
Does anyone have any hints on how to overcome this issue?

I installed office 2007 and everything seems to be all right. However when I
start outlook I get this message.
Business contact manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I send the report.
And I say that I want to start up in safe mode.
Then I get this message:

Unwanted reminders appearing
We are running a pilot with half a dozen users on Outlook 2007 BCM, and a
separate PC running SQL 2005 Express to host the database. Occasionally,
about once a week, one of the users will start Outlook, and their PC will
grind to a halt as BCM creates a reminder for every contact in the database.
All 3340 of them! Once Outlook has finished doing this, the users can
Dismiss All, and go...

BCM 2007 with Office 2003?
We are a relatively small organization with a limited budget. All of our
users have Office 2003. Can we just buy Outlook 2007 w/BCM only and use it
instead of Outlook 2003 on our systems, or do we have to upgrade all of our
systems to Office 2007? Any other possible solutions for a budget challenged

Business Contact Manager 2007 - Exporting report to Excel
I am trying to export Business Projects report to Excel. This in the version
for Outloook 2007.
Error message: Get error when generating XML document
Should be able to click on Excel icon on the menu or select within File
drop-down.
Has anyone run into and know the solution?

How do I see Outlook journal item on business contact?
I have the telephone dialer create a Journal item in which I make notes
during a call. The item can be seen in the journal timeline but I cannot find
a way to see it from the Business Contact itself

Urgent -How can I get my linked contact history out of BCM?
I"m trying o move to Entourage. Can I print some kind of report or export
to some kind of separate file? I can'b believe I"m just screwed here. I
knew BCM was bad, butI can't believe there's no way to get my linked items
out without opening each specific note and printing it out....

Scanning directly into Business Contact Manager
I have been using Act! to manage my contacts for the last several years. I
switched to BCM last week. In Act! there was an addon that was a one click
button that scanned documents directly into that contacts history. Is there
such a thing in Business Contact Manager? I have searched and searched to no
avail. Any help would be great.

Restoring Contacts to BCM from an old SQL MDE Instance
Hi,
Can someone please provide some information on how I can go about restoring
business contacts for the BCM database from an old instance of a BCM SQL
database instance?

Business Contact Manager Forms - 2007
Is there anyway to change the design to a business contact manager form? I
know I can add user-defined fields, but I am looking to design the form like
I can to the Outlook contact form. I want to be able to remove fields and
place new fields where I want them, not at the bottom of the right or left
column....
