Activity Series
How do I schedule a series of activities once a contract is signed? In ACT
it is called Activity Series & in GoldMine it is called Automated Process. I
want to be able to set a series of about 100 tasks/calls that are assigned to
certain users due by a certain date prior to a specified date. Is that
possible in BCM?...

My BCM is unworkable
I have recently installed BCM + Outlook 2007 on 2 (fast) client machines
connected to a SQL2005 running on our SBS2003 server. All patches etc. are up
to date.
It just doesn't work. I get crashes, hangs and appallingly slow performance
for the simplest tasks. When I'm on the phone to clients I need to be able to
call up their information straight away not in 5 mins if I'm lucky! I note...

E-mail to distribution list failed;"too many recipients." ?
I made my first distribution list and tried to use it (with an attached
file). E-mail failed; I got a message saying "too many recipients." There
were about 50 recipients.
How can I know if some, or none of the respondents got the message? Is there
a maximum number for a distribution list or e-mailing? Are there any
workarounds? ...

Moving from ACT 7.0 to Outlook 2007 w/ BCM
I've been unhappy for years with ACT due to instability within the program,
poor customer service, etc. However, I use it every day in my insurance
office to keep the following:
1. contact info for my clients
2. notes & history of past meetings (and notes re: those meetings)
3. calendar (meetings, calls and to-dos, including calls and to-dos that
just roll over every day until I can g...

Now, it loads up, but crashes with the hourglass type thing in the middle of
the screen, and I have to reset the WM5 device.

BCM synch w/Motorola Q
I downloaded BCMV3PPC.exe and installed it on my desktop and Q. It installed
the software in both places ok but when I tried to access the BCM on my
smartphone the application hung and the only way out was to uninstall. I
presume this is because the application only works with the "Pocket PC"
version of Mobile 5.0 not the "Smartphone" version. Any suggestions?...

Using Business Contact Manager will not connected to database
We have two salesmen working from laptop and one from a desktop. If we
install BCM on the server everyone can share it when on the network or over a
VPN. However, if the salesmen are disconnected from the network, (that is on
the road or plane) can they still open the contacts, accounts and
opportunies? Will they synchronise when they next connect?...

BCM should post to Accounting
The real world requires me to first set up "business contacts" during the
sales process before they become "customers" for the accounting department to
bill, etc.
My suggestion is that you include a check box to allow a user to make a BCM
entry a customer, and while your at it make another checkbox for vendors (we
have to deal with them too).
