Using Categories in Outlook to Mailmerge in Word
I am trying to filter on categories in Outlook 2007 and use the information
in word 2007 mailmerge. I can filter inside outlook by changing the views
but I can't seem to find the field name to use in Word Mailmerge. Can
anybody help?...

business contact manager causes outlook 2007 to not respond
I am running Vista Ultimate with Office 2007. When I try to open Outlook 2007
with BCM it freezes up and has to be closed with the task manager. When I
reopen Outlook an error message comes up that says, "Outlook experienced a

Deploying BCM 2007 with MS SQL 2005 - 64bit version
hi there,
I'm currently using MS Vista 64 and I like to deploy BCM 07 with the
alreadyt install MS SQL 2K5 64 bit.

Filtering in Accounts AND Contacts
How can I select certain Account criteria AND certain Contact criteria in
BCM? For example, I want to select only Accounts where Account field Source
= "Trade Show" AND Contact user defined field Position = "Engineer". In

I have a database of 2,000 email and i keep getting.Is it because of bad
email or is it too many email?
This action cannot be completed because business contact cannot access the
database time out expired. The timeout period elapsed to completion of the

Account to Opportunity
Other CRMs that I have used allow me to easily click a button on an account
record to create an opportunity for that account. I have not found anything
like this here. It seems that all the information in an account needs to be
re-entered into an opportunity. Is this correct, and if so it seems like it's
a lot of wasted time with double entry....

Clean BCM database
When I ran Manage Email Auto-Linking >> Search and Link... option, it
searched my emails and attached them to the business contact. The problem is
it found the same email is several folders and attached each of them.
Therefore I have several copies of the same email attached to me contacts.

Security Concerns
As far as we can tell, by sharing BCM we open ourselves up to the possibility
that someone could potentially export the entire database and walk away with
it. Is this a concern for anyone else? If so, does anyone have any
suggestions on how to overcome this?

How do you import business notest? I am using Act 2006/8.0 and BCM V3.0.

If a non-BCM item is deleted from exchange, is it deleted from BCM
If I understand correctly, strictly BCM items like phone logs, business
notes, accounts and contacts are maintained locally on my laptop in the sql

We are "testing" BCM for our Marketing group with the hopes of deploying it

Why does Business Contact Manager conflict with Franklin-Covey
I'd been using Franklin-Covey software for seven months, but since I
activated Business Contact Manager (which came with Outlook 2007) three weeks
ago, I have been uable to run the Franklin-Covey software. I just ran an

How can I create Outlook stationary w/images for others to use?
I'm trying to create an email template for colleagues, using selected

Selecting certain contacts for certain accounts
I want to filter my BCM data to select certain accounts (e.g.,
Industry="wood") AND certain related contacts (e.g., position="Manager").
When I try to filter I can only filter on the Account or on the Contact, but
not both. So if I work in Account and filter for "wood" (which in this

E-Mail Autolink in BCM
The E-mail Autolink button on the BCM Ribbon is "greyed out" and cannot be
used. Doesn't matter if you click on an email. Still greyed out. the
"Link to Record" button works and becomes active if an email is selected.
