Project Numbers
I would like to seee an indexed, key field for project numbers in the main
group. Just trying to move from Goldmine to BCM. I realise I can create a
user field for this. But it won't get the same treatment as a key field. I
have been managing projects for a very long time. AEC design construction
field. Project number plus project name is the only way to identify unique

BCM 2007 Hanging
I installed Outlook 2007 with BCM recently and am using Windows XP with Excel
2002 and Word 2002 SP3. I am primarily using the BCM aspects of the software
and have not linked any email accounts to the Outlook. I have been entering
Business contacts with no problems for a month but the other day the program
froze. I can open the software, but if I try to do anything the system hangs

inconsistent email linking
We have a shared database and email linking is turned on. Each user links
contacts as they are entered. Once in awhile we will find a contact for whom
all links are turned on but an email is missing from the history. When the
sent item is searched - for some reason it hasn't linked to the contact - why
does this happen? It undermines confidence in BCM. ...

What's meaning of "Office" field in BCM 2007 General Account info?
Help says: Type the name of the Account (required) and its associated office
(optional). What is the meaning of "associated office" in real world? I can't
imagine. If office and factory have different addresses, it's reflected in
address tab, but what is meaning of that field just below "Account" name?...

Double Entry of History Items in Accounts
Let's say Bob (contact) works for Acme (account) and let's say I have a
Project to build a building for Acme. So in my Project I have linked both
Acme and Bob.
I schedule a meeting with Bob to talk about the project in my Calendar and
link that meeting to both the Project (because I want it to show up there)

Importing Contacts From Outlook 07
I have a file structure thet breaks up my contacts by state in my personal
folder. Is there a way to import thess over to become a business contact?
Or should I just have all business contacts in one large file? What is the

Moving BCM Database to new SQL 2005 Server
I have installed SBS Server 2003 Premium which has MS SQL 2005. Using the
BCM toolkit for Outlook 2007 I created new database. The client Outlook 2007
can access the empty database fine. If I add a contact it appears fine.
I then used the same utility to backup the database on the old server, move
the backup to the new server and then again using the tool did a restore.

Outgoing Emails Not Arriving
Hi
I've recently sent some email campaigns from BCM using my outlook contacts,
however, after sending people are not receiving these or any subsequent
emails I send from outlook. We rebooted the server and I was able to send
emails again.
However, I've sent another campaign and same thing. They're showing as sent,
no bounce backs yet from this PC no one is receiving my emails. I...

Unable to access shared database
I have a client running BCM 3.0 with Office 2007 SBE and XP Pro SP2. Office
2007 and BCM SP1 have been installed. The shared DB is hosted on a DT which
is hard wired to the router. The 2 NB's are using a wireless connection to
the network. Windows level file and print sharing work fine.
This problem occured after the user profile was corrupted on one of the

Show project tasks on Calendar
I am new to BCM and am still learning how to use it. So far, I really
like it.
For a while, my Project Tasks showed up on my calendar based on due
date. Then one day it just stopped doing it; no idea why. (I suspect
it had something to do with ActiveSync and my Windows Mobile phone,
but I cannot be sure.)
How do I make it go back to showing my project tasks along with my

Hello,
I am using BCM with Outlook 2007 on Windows XP in German.
My BCM Opportunities are linked to business contacts (not to accounts,
firms). In my view I want to show the name of the business contact and the
company name of the account to which the business contact is linked to.

customizing columns in Opportunities
From BCM home, I click on Opportunities under Start a Task. I then go in and
Customize Current View, in order to add some columns and delete others. This
includes specifying the column width. I got looking exactly like I wanted it,
yet when I close out BCM and go back to Opportunities, my changes are gone.
How can I lock in those changes permanently? Thanks

How can I batch remove all emails NOT associated with a business contact?
I have a folder full of emails.
I want to be able to remove any email in this folder that is not
related to a business contact in BCM.
I want to search in the BODY of the email and also the TO field for
email addresses belonging to a contact and if there is no contact with
that email address, for it to delete the email.

Missing or hidden contacts

rating leads
I am still learning BCM. I am a REaltor and I have leads come in via email
or phone on listings. I want to enter them in BCM (I haven't been using the
Leads toggle) and get them on a schedule to receive information from me.
Lastly, I'd like to pull a report of these leads. I see that I can pull a
report of Leads by Rating, but i have no idea how to rate m leads.

BCM 2007 error after upgrades
Last night, I upgraded the following:
* Microsoft Expression Blend V2 SP1
* .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
* VS2008 SP1
* Silverlight Tools fo VS2008 SP1

Assigned to field not correctly populated
I am trying to set up a foundation for my company's CRM using BCM. The
problem is when assigning an opprotunity to a sales person, not all of
the users show up (actually not even half). As far as i understand, as
long as they are users, they should be in the assign to field. Is
there any way to refresh this list ?
