Can't sync BCM on Pocket PC
I have installed the add-in for Outlook 2003 for Business Contacts on
Pocket Pc, and although I have the little BCM icon on my PDA, and
within active sync on my PC it recognises that it is something it can
and should be sync'ing, when I use Active Sync, it tells me "attention
required"...but I don't know what attention to give it! Any ideas?

can't import database
Hi,
I have convert a database from ACT6 but when I try to import into BCM, I got
this message: "Some errors occurred while your data was being imported.
unable to save the Business Contact object" and it failed. I have WindowsXP
and Office 2007 professional plus, Anybody help? thanks a lot...

How do I transfer my contacts from Outlook on 1 comp. to another?
I am having to replace my computer and am having trouble saving my contacts

Can't open old BCM database
I just installed BCM and I am trying to use a previous database created by
BCM. I copied the old database to the Business Contact Manager folder where
the new BCM database resides, however, when I try to connect to it using BCM
Database Tool, it isn't listed on my computer. I also tried to rename the
new database and replace it with the old but no success.

Send an email to several people without sharing all recipients?
I want to send an email to several recipients without sharing all of the
recipient's with each other. I am a recipient of such an email from
different sources. I don't think it is using "Bcc", I think there is another
way. What a recipient should see at the top of the message is the subject
and their name in the "TO" field....

How do I get BCM drop down menu to appear in MSO?
I have installed the BCM from the disc included in the 2003 MSO Professional.
I have also downloaded the Update for BCM for Outlook 2003 and the
subsequent service pack 3. "Business contacts for business contacts" and
"accounts in business contacts" options appear in "contacts", but there is no
Business Tools drop down menu in the File tool bar. I've tried to remove and
re-install MSO...

After backing up, my contacts and accounts are gone

Trying to filter out a category and it won't do it
I have a bunch of contacts from ciities that are out of area. I created a
category called 'out of area.' These contacts are also categorized other
ways according to their business type. I wanted to filter out everything
that was categorized out of area but it woudlnt' do it. It only gave me the

New installation of BCM and Outlook 2003
I see others have asked before, but I don't see a workable answer. I had to
reinstall the entire Office Pro 2003, Small Business Accounting, and and BCM.
The MS SQL server is running on auto load. Every time I install BCM, I open
Outlook after the install, and after going through the quick setup, it
crashes. After that the only way to get Outlook opened again is un-install
BCM. I can't f...

How to edit Business Contact History Item layout
I would like to make a global change to the Business Contact History Item
report in the hope to see if the emails were either in bound or out. Often
the same Title is used which makes detecting the correct email more
difficult. This mionor change would at least allow you to see the mail that
has been sent out or received . Any suggestion would be kindly received....

BCM 2007 TR and SQL on other server
I've got a problem. I have a working setup under XP with Outlook and BCM 2007
B2 with BCM connected to my main SQL server running on my DC. BCM 2007 B2 has
a choice to let you create a database on another server and it also connects
fine to the database.
I'm now playing with/using the Vista RC1 release and have installed Outlook
and BCM 2007 B2 and it works just like it does under XP. H...

Competing Appointments
I am a little confused as to the best way to use appointments. If I schedule
an appointment, the appointment happens and I want to sumarize what happened,
what is the best way to record this in the contact record? Do I go ahead and
delete the appointment after it happens and make either a business note or
phone log? Or is there a better way. Thanks in advance....

Reports Broken???
I imported all my data from ACT 6.0, and it came through great to BCM update.
However, I've noticed that reports don't work at all - none of them! I've
tried rebooting, etc. They dont work on either of the two computers that are
sharing the database. I get an error message that says "the report could not
be generated. please try again" over and over for virtually every report. How

impossible to generate report :-(
Good morning,
I bought outlook bcm one year ago. I installed it and one year later I have
not success to make a report on opportunities, contact and so on. The message
is "impossible to generate a report. try again".....I am fed up and I am sad
because I paid for a tool I cannot use.

tickler for follow-up calls
is there anyway that I can set up tickler list for call backs, this is a very
basic task, if I place a call and would like to follow-up with another call
in 2 weeks should be easy, I would then like to run a report on that list...

Lose scrolling function when collapsing Groups
Outlook 2003. Show Bus Contacts grouped by Category, the collapse all groups.
Immediately lose scrolling functionality... expand a group & cannot scroll
through it.

Installing Business Contact Manager on a Win 2003 Server -DC
I was able to install Outlook & Business Contact Manager on my Windows 2003
Server, Domain Controller (then rebooted). But I got error messages when
trying to share the Business Contact Mgr Database with other computers. Am I
allowed to share the database from a Win 2003 server, or from a DC?

Outlook 2007 beta 2 crashs
When I try to reply or forward any email, usually Outlook 2007 beta 2 crashs.
And it cannot create Business Contact Manager Database
