I am trying to create a project task. When I try to save & close that window
I get a message that says " A custom field with this name but has a different
data type already exists. Enter a different name." What does this mean? It
won't let me close the window & save the task. The only way to close it ts to
delete the new task. ...

Create Template for Tasks in BCM Project Tasks
Greetings... I have a pretty specific list of tasks common to all projects.
Rather that having to keystroke over 50 task for each project - is there a
way to create a template that will appear for each project we engage in?
Thanks in advance...

Clinton: Macro editor question
Hi,
Youve been posting some great toolbar and macro instructions to get some
of the cumbersome areas of BCm/Word integration alleviated and updated to
perform more like some of the established CRM's out there.
I added your 1st BCM NOTE macro and toolbar item. I followed teh
instructions about edited Project1 in the VBA editor and making it
Business, or whatever it is... etc.

Can contact info be transferred to Word document as in E-mail mess
As an Act! user I am used to selecting a contact and opening a Word document
with the contact information already in place for the letter I am writing.
This doesn't seem to happen in Outlook Business contact manager. Is this an
available feature or is it an "add-on". I am really trying to transition to
the complete MS Office interface, but am looking for some of the familiar
features of ...

moving contacts to BCM
I'm trying to move my contacts from normal outlook contacts folder
into BCM. I'm using outlook 2003 and bcm 2003.
When I drag and drop a contact, which has full company details
included, into the business contacts, it loses the business
information and doesn't create a new account. If I copy it to
Accounts, the contact name is created as an account, but no business
contacts are created. ...

Outlook 2007 BCM Databases
After finally getting BCM to play nicely with Outlook, I'm running into a
problem trying to restore BCM databases. I run 4 Profiles within Outlook. In
Outlook 2003 each profile was linked to a profile-specifc BCM database.
However if I restore one of the 2003 databases to a 2007 profile, the
database information is resident across all 4 profiles. I get the message

BCM 2007: changes not replicating right away

made by other users right away. I've got the database on an SBS 2003 server

that all data is changed in real time.
Does anyone know how often Outlook polls the database and updates the view.
Any information would be helpful.
