Change default list when liinking to a project
I receive a lot of emails and create a lot of files that I need attached to
a "Business Project". So when I receive an email that i want attached to a
particular "project" I right click the email in Outlook and select "Link To
A Record". When the option screen comes up accounts are in the window. I
almost never attach something to an account only to a "Project". How can I

but action then on that contact seems to fail. In the appointment ribbon,
Business contact Manager, click Link to record. In the link to Business

Due to pc errors I had to reinstall outlook 2003 and then bcm 2003.

Link Opportunity to sent e-mail or folder?
Since many of my contacts generate more than one opportunity, I link my
e-mail to both opportunities and contacts. I use BCM 2003.
1) When sending an e-mail, is it possible to link the Opportunity from the
message window *before* you click Send? Having to sift through my Sent Items
folder after the fact re-opening & linking e-mail seems a bit asinine.

business contacts and accounts ordered by last communications history date
I wonder if it is possible to have a contact (or account) attribute
where it is stored the date of the last item of the communication
history folder.
This would be useful to order contacts by date of the last hit.

Trying to upgrade to BCM 2007
In trying to upgrade to Office 2007, I was removing BCM 2006. its now 1/2
installed. When I use Add/Remove I get the error “This patch package can not
be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it,
or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows
Installer package.â€
How do I get rid of BCM 2006 fully??

record of sales for each contact
I have just downloaded OL 2007 w BCM. I have a database from ACT 6.0 that I
will be importing into it. In ACT I have an add on . It provides an extra
tab which is linked to an Access database.
I can see what each client has purchased, at what price, their order date,
etc. Basically anything I choose to put in the Access table. I have a
choice as to which field to link.

OBCM errors
had in 2003, kept getting errors, so i finally disabled.
have 2007 now, and got error on installation or "numerous" files--from prev
versions i assume.
now when opening outlook, i get error msg. i have installed CM but have not
as of yet set up accounts and the like.
can i just delete these previous files and start fresh, or will this require
a custom install...comfortable working ...

Now that SP4 is available for BCM 2003 need help installing
Hello,
I am quite happy to see that there has been a release of service pack 4 for
BCM 2003 so that I can use it with my new Vista Home Premium OS and SBA. I
just need to get some step by step instructions because I am clearly not
doing it right on my own. :(
I tried to install BCM this morning figuring I needed it installed before I
tried to install the sevice pack. Made sense ...

Contact Manger startup keeps error
When I start up Outlook 2007, the Business Contact Manager Startup starts.
After I select "express" or "advanced" I get an error, "Database Creation was
unsuccessful because you do not have a vaild Mircorsoft Office 2007 license
to use Business Contact Manger for Outlook 2007."
I have Office Basic 2007. Everything else works, when I hit cancel, it goes
fine....

Outlook errors with Desktop Search(?) after BCM install.
I just installed by retail box version of Office 2007 today, after having run
the trial for 6 weeks or so.
The initial install (which did not include BCM or Acctg 2007) went fine. I
used Outlook a couple of times.
Then, I installed Business Contact Manager.
I opened Outlook, and my machine re-booted.
Every time now that I open outlook, at least it's not rebooting my machine,
but...

Outlook 2007 Locks Up in Send/Receive

Can I edit multiple contacts in Business Contacts at one time?
In ACT! and most high end business contact managers, one can edit groups of
contacts to change addresses, categories, phone numbers, business name, user
fields. Is there a way to do this in Outlook Business Contact Manager?
Imagine an area code change for several hundred contacts. That's what
recently happened to me and it's a pain doing them one at a time....

In Outlook, you can link two contacts together. I can't see a way to do this

Salutation / Courtesy Title not available in Mail Merge

searching in Business Contacts
Hi
I have Outlook 2007, with Windows DEsktop Search V3, and the latest version
of Business Contacts Manager. I have moved all my contacts, that were
originally in my outlook pst file, into Business Contacts Manager, Business
Contacts Folder.
It appears that instant search, using WDS 3 in Outlook 2007, does not find

How do I reinstall?
I loaded from disks, now the reinstall of the latest BCM update does not seem
to want to take. An error reads "The expected version of the product was
not found on your system".
Must I reload all updates in sequence of their release date? Reboot between
updates? I see 38 downloads. What is the easy way? ...

BCM 2003 Could not complete last action & Other problems
I am using Office Pro 2003 and just installed BCM 2003. I did all updates
and got service pack 3. Upon opening Outlook, it prompted me to create a new
BCM database and then it failed saying "Could not complete last action". I
rebooted and opened up Outlook again. BCM tried to complete the install by
saying "Finalizing BCM" and then fails again saying "Could not complete last
action"....

Access and SQL serverfor BCM compatible?
I have developed an extensive Access database for customers and vendors that
allows me to locate a lot of data that is not easily available from BCM. Is
there any way that I can use the same database with both Access and BCM and
OA07 that will allow changes made in any of the programs to be updated
automatically in all programs? The serach and retreive capabilities of
Access far out pace...
