BCM in Outlook 2003 with Vista
I am running Vista Business and Outlook 2003, but have failed repeatedly to
load BCM. It seems that both BCM and SP4 require me to load the other one
first.
If I start by trying to load BCM first, .Net loads OK, but when I start to
load BCM I get a "Known compatibility" warning which leads me to the MS
website - and eventually SP4. However if I ignore that warning and attempt
to loa...

ACT vs. BCM
i would really like to convert to bcm but act seems to have a compelling
feature that bcm doesn't - in act, you can simply scroll down the notes for
any record and read them in real time whereas, in bcm, it seems you can only
view the titles of different notes, logs, etc. and have to open each one in
order to read it. am i missing here? also, is there a way, as there is in
act, to e...

Small Business Suite / Outlook 2007
I am currently using the Small Business Suite 2003. I was running the
upgrade of Business Contact Manager. I really liked it, but I purchased a
Blackberry 8700g. When I went to sync, nothing would happen. After being on
hold for a good bit with Blackberry, I found out that BB will not sync with
the BCM part of Outlook. So I moved all of my BCM Contacts back to regular
contact and th...

Changing database location
Hi Everybody,
We have a small business with two PCs running BCM2007 with the database
located on one of the machines, however we have recently purchased a new
server on which we want to run the BCM database. What is the preffered method
of transferring our database to the new server with the minimum of disruption?
Thanks

BCM 2007 - Marketing Campaign tracking/mail merge issue
Has anyone used the marketing campaign function in BCM2007? I was testing it
for a scenario of generating mailing labels to send something to a select
group of business contacts (set up as "Direct Mail Print", recipients chosen
by a filter on Categories field, "Word Mail Merge" to word document set up
for appropriate label size). I got the mail merge to work, got the
appropriate labels...

Reversing the disaster: How to getting BCM data exported back
Anyone who know if there are any way of exporting or converting BCM data into
other CRMs?
BCM 2003 has been a disaster solution since it does not allow us to send
blind email copies through MS-outlook to the different groups created in BCM,
effectively making BCM useless to send out newsletters to the groups.
Alternative 1:) ....any MS people where that know if this no. 1 missing

SBA 2007 integration with Outlook 2003 & BCM SP4 fails
Integrating SBA 2007 Pro with Outlook 2003 & BCM SP4 fails.
Everything is on one XP laptop with the latest service packs and updates.
Outlook 2003 with BCM 3 worked ok. It never integrated successfully with SBA
2007, a known problem. I installed BCM SP4 and my BCM data vanished. I
restored the database and BCM SP4 appears to work ok. I shared the database
in Outlook as per the instructions...

updating a BCM Contact from imported list
Once contacts are in BCM07, can other files be imported that will update not
duplicate these contacts?
e.g. Only names and addresses are in BCM. A .csv file contacts, a list of
spouses, birthday, etc. The new list will update those fields in the contact
record.

importing from ACT 6.0
I downloaded the trial version of 2007. I have always liked Outlook, but
the previous versions of BCM were not user friendly, especially since I need
many custom fields.
I did a trial import of just a few contacts from Act. These were assigned
to a group, (not by a rule, but manually). I thought the group would import
as a new category, but it did not!
So I would have over 1000...

Shared BCM database headache

the other one private to me. This definitely works just fine, but here's the
problems I have.

not much other activity.
Q: How do I successfully move the location of the database? Im sure all of
you use Windows Desktop Search as it integrates fully with Outlook BCM

BCM shutting down over and over and over and over
Well, I thought I finally made it through one day without BCM locking up and
shutting down. But I made the fatal mistake of trying to update one more
contact before going to bed. I entered a name inthe search field and hit
enter and BCM shut down and sent off the prerequsite report to MS. If it has
done this once since the 07 upgrade it has done it 500 times. Is there a fix
