New email address
I have a number of business contacts in BCM. Several have recently changed
email addresses. If I delete the old address in BCM and replace it with the
new one will the items that are linked to the contact (via the old address)
stay linked? And when I run automatic linking with I continue to see both
items sent to the old and new address?...

BCM SP3
I recently had to perform a clean install of XP. I installed Outlook BCM
2003 and downloaded all the updates and service packs. The help menu
indicated that I had SP3 for BCM. I had some issues with XP and Outlook and
stated over with a clean install due to registry error. Now after installing
all the updates and service packs for BCM, the help menu indicates that I
have BCM SP2. I ...

Tracking using a Mail Merge
I am trying out the BCM and did a campaign with a mail merge. Letters all
printed and there are history comments on the business contact. However,
when I click on tracking, there is nothing but the contact names. I don't
see any of the deliver status.
Now, I did not create accounts first... I just created business contacts.
Is that my problem? Because now I want to run a campaign o...

SP4 for Outlook 2003 with BCM
Does this Service Pack (SP4) fix the incompatibility issue with Vista Home
Premium ? I don't want to go through reinstalling Vista Home Premium only to
find that the "known compatability" isn't fixed. The MS Webpage states that
this SP fixes "Application compatibility with Windows Vista". Not
necessarily excluding VHP but not explicitly citing it either.
Thanks for any info

BCM 2003 Data file
My hard drive crashed, luckily the local computer guy was able to recover the
data from it after the crash. I am in the process of importing the recovered
data into applications on the new hard drive, but my BCM business contacts
folder in Outlook is empty. I imported the .pst file and everything showed
up in Outlook except the BCM data, I assume this means that BCM uses a

I'm setting up a new database in BCM in Outlook 2007. I shared the database

access to certain folders?...

Cannot Install BCM 2007
Hi,
I seem to be having a small problem installing BCM 2007. It was
downloaded from the Technet site, and opened up with ISObusterand I am
using the usual install double click on the setup icon. I then go
through most of the intall and then I get an error message which
refers me to a log file in the temp folder. The log file is all
meaningless to me, and my question is how do I make sense...

I do not see anywhere to tell it to do so....

Write a letter is critical to the software ... HELP!
I have read and understand that you are working on a "Write a Letter" tool.
That is great. I have used, trained and promtoted Act for years. Their
product is now falling behind and I really want to promote BCM. I can't do
that until I have confidence that you can do basic things. Writing a letter
is one of those basic things.
PLEASE HURRY!
By the way, the tool needs the following fun...

I use the link feature to connect e-mails to particular opportunities; the
result is that the email shows in the Opportunity History. My problem is
that sometimes when I click on the item in the Opportunity History the e-mail

attachments, etc.
I suspect this has to do with where I store older e-mails (I move the...

import history dates from ACT 6??
When importing from ACT 6 to BCM 2007 my history was converted but the date
on each history note has the date of conversion and it doesn't seem to be in
any particular order. I have been using ACT for over 5 yrs and I need to be
able to look at the previous history in chronological order. I would like to
move away from ACt BIT this may be a deal breaker, any suggestions?

Email Merge Using Word Email doesn't allow attachments
You can email merge using Outlook and attach a file such as a pdf. But you
cannot insert BCM fields for personaliztion.
You can email merge using Word and insert BCM fields but you cannot attach
files such as .pdfs.
If that statement is correct, it would be an enhancement to BCM 2007 if that
was fixed.
