Editing Charts
the chart functionality is great in BCM 2007 but how can I edit them? And how
do I print them or import them to Word / PowerPoint?
I need to show such fun things as cumulative sales totals, work starting by
month etc.
Any help would be appreciated....

Where are emails and attachments stored????
Hi All,
this is a follow up from an earlier post that has gone unanswered but
i think is rather important.
When you link an email containing an attachment (manually or via auto
link) where are the emails and attachment stored? are they not COPIED
into the CRM?
I've recently cleaned up my exchange inbox and now when in BCM history
for either contacts or accounts when I open an email,...

Cannot find BCM to load it
I attended Launch 2007 and received a copy of Office Professional 2007, which
required me to download the .exe file. I then installed Office Professional
2007 from that .exe file and during that installation, I deleted my Office
Professional 2003 (which had Business Contact Manager, BTW).
All works just fine in Office 2007, however, I do not have, nor can I find,
Business Contact Manage...

Clipboard won't copy
The office clipboard will not copy in the Business Contact Manager except for
the comments on the details page of the contact.

business contact manager
Each time I open Outlook, there is an error message,"business contact manager
has encountered a problem." AmI correct in assuming this is realted to
firewall function. I have made no changes in related programs. Yet, this
message just started appearing yesterday. Any ideas?...

BCM Database
My business partner and I share the business contact manager database, which
is located on his laptop - the downside being that if he takes his laptop out
of the office I am unable to access the database. Is there a way to move the
production database to a shared networked disk drive so that we can share it
from that location?...

How many contact names can outlook manage?
I have 6500 email address to manage for my weekly news letter.
will outlook manage that many contacts?
My site is hosted on a server that allows 5000 emails a day. I need to send
5000 then 1500 the next day.
Can I use outlook for this. Also, can customers that register for the news
letter be add by script on my web page to Outlook?

Identifying the current database.
I have add-ins that need to be available only when connected to a specific
database. Is there a way to programmatically get the name of the current BCM
database/server? Or even if the current database is shared? I found this
information stored in the OrgTable, but I'm not sure how to access that info
without already knowing which is the current database... (I am using BCM
2007 with V...

cannot open business contact manager file
I have Office 2007 running with Vista Ultimate. I have Outlook with BCM.
Since I upgraded from 2003, I cannot open my saved BCM files.
When I try to "import" my files, the only choices I have are .bcm or .bcmx.
When I saved my files MY file extentions became".msbcm" and ".sbb".
Can I ever see my BCM files again???

Business Contact Mangrfailed to initialize the common language run
Outlook 2007, never had beta installed.
Arrrr...this box comes up about 75 times every time I start Outlook!
I've reinstalled BCM twice, repaired Office, reparied .net framework (2.0
and 3.0), and stll I get this messagebox!
Can somebody help?

Cannot Dismiss Acount Reminders
I am using MS Office Ultimate 2007 (12.0.4518.1014) with BCM (3.00.5828.00).
I am getting all of my Accounts (110 of them) popping up in the Reminders
window saying they are Due Now. Each time I try and Dismiss one of them, it
pops back up immediately. There are no Reminders set on any of my Accounts
(that I know of or can see).
Has anyone else experienced this behavior? I had this ...

How do I restore the Ribbon in Outlook after uninstalling Busines.
After uninstalling Business Contact Manager, I noticed that I do not have a
Ribbon in Outlook 2007 (re:Office Ultimate). Uninstalling and reinstalling
do not seem to help with this. I also seem to have Business Contact Manager
help files and other vestiges still installed. I need to know how to
completely remove it so that I can have a clean and properly working copy of
Outlook....

BCM and backend servers?
Hello :-)
I am trying to figure out of what backend versions that can be used, since I
though that BCM could only connect to the database engine that was shipped
with it, but this might not be true?
Could anyone please fill me in what backend server can be used with any kind

BCM separate database from Outlook?
I just upgraded from office xp to 2007 and have been using outlook for
contact management and email.
I have just started learning about what BCM is.
Is BCM an outlook add-in that uses the outlook interface but creates a
completely separate database with no relation to the outlook database?

Views in Business Contact Manager for 2003
I notice when i open my business contact form that i see a preview of my
emails at the bottom (from my inbox). Is there anyway that i can remove this
as i can't seem to go to the View menu and customise?

Is there any way to quickly link MULTIPLE prior appointments to business
contact records? I was using Outlook 2003 and just upgraded to Outlook 2007

Changing/combining accounts
I have many accounts in BCM (mainly within the health service in the UK).

What is the mail server for my Office Outlook 2003 to read email?
I had to uninstall my OBCM because Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 would only
ask me to view or add another contact, I'm the only contact in it. I could
not and still cant send all recieve all email. I can't post email, I can't
"use" my office inbox. I installed Microsoft Small Business 2003 and made

Multiple users and offline usage
I would like to setup a central SQL Express 2005 db server so 3 employees can
use a shared db. But I would also like to use BCM offline while traveling.
Does BCM support this? Can I setup a local SQL Express on my laptop then
replicate the data?

Business Contact Manager Slow
I am experiencing a situation that when the Business contact manager add in
is loaded, Outlook starts slow. it also displays a message that reads :
Your server adminstrator has limited the number of items you can open
simultaneously. Try closing messages you have opened or removing attachments
and images from unsent messages you are composing.

Birthday in the next 7 days
I was trying to set up a current view filter to only show all contact whos
birthday is comming up in the next 7 days. So I can send them a card. However
it will only show people who will be born in the next 7 days. How can do I
filter birthdays without including the year? and can I then print envelopes
for only those contacts via mail merge or something?...
