How do I get to Drafts in Outlook from BCM?
I want to send Drafts in Outlook when I an using BCM "Mail Messages" but can
not find a way to that folder. Help...

BCM won't import upgraded ACT 2005 version 7.0.4.82, Help
BCM won't convert Act 2005 Version 7 with the current upgrade Version 7.0.4.82
Is there a solution for this?
? Possibly converting to Act 2006 (version 8) and not upgrading, or Act 2007
(version 9)
Is there any experience with BCM contact import for the CURRENT version of
act 2005

Uninstalling and re-installing BCM is a NIGHTMARE !!!
Hi,
I uninstall BCM from my server because I follow the document to create the
BCM database within my SQL Server 2005.
As I can't connect to the BCM database I create following the document (may
be I'm wrong somewhere but I can connect to the server with my username and
see the BCM database. I can connect with my applications to my SQL server ...
but can't connect with Outlook/Bcm 2007...

Can not restore 2003 BCM with Vista Upgrade
I just upgraded my Lap Top to Vista. I have BCM 2003 SP3. I have historically
backed up my BCM on my desck top and restored it on my laptop so I have
current data. Now I get an error saying that I can not recreate because I am
not the the user who created the backup. I read the blog from Mukesh. As
Administrator I am able to restore the data and everything works fine. Then I

Moving to BCM 2007
Our offices are looking to moving to BCM 2007. We current have a main server
at the main office, using SBS 2003 and SQL sever 2000. We want a centralized
database on this server....Do we need to move to both SBS 2003 R2 and SQL
2005, or upgrade just one??? All clients will share the same database...The
two offices are connected with a IPSec VPN over a cable/dsl with decent

Assigning a task to multiple contacts
Scenario:
I have ben cold calling from aan excel spreadsheet.
At the end of the day I import into BCM those contacts that I want to
consider 'leads'
I send them an e-mail using mail merge.
I then want to asing a task to each of these contacts to call them and
follow up on the e-mail. I'd rathjer not do this individually as we could be
talking as many as 50 contacts.

vCards
When saving a business whatever.vcf file that I get in an email (usually a
signature), Outlook wants to save it to my "Contacts" folder, which I use for
personal contacts, not business contacts. There doesn't seem to be any way
for Outlook to override this and save it to one of my folders that I've
created in my BCM...where all my BUSINESS contacts are. Without going through

How do I amend the Source list for a Business contact in BCM
I want to add my own values to the 'Type of Business' and 'Source of Lead'
drop down lists in the details tab of a Business Contact.

Adding webpage field
Hi,
I am using BCM with Outlook 2007. I can customize forms, but I am wondering
is there a way to add a webpage field on the opening page of a business
project?
I don't see an option for html in the customization menu.

BCM 2007 - home page is empty
When I select Business Contact manager from the drop down menu, I get a big
blue screen with 4 tabs. EAch of the tabs is empty.

Cannot retrieve BCM contact database after uninstalling 2007 beta
I had been using MS Office 2003 including Outlook 2003 with the BCM add-in
for several months, having imported contact data from my old ACT! database.
For the past three months I used the Office 2007 Beta with BCM, including
the Beta 2 Technical Refresh.

Creating groups in Business Contact manager
I would like to create four groups of contacts. ie.
manufactures, wholesales, my clients, and personal contacts (friends).
It appears BCM may be designed for my clients, but I cannot seem to create
manufacturer, and wholesaler contact groups?
I cannot use BCM if I cannot create multiple contact groups.

BCM birthdays sychronization to pocket pc
I installed Office 2003 with Business Contact Manager(BCM), but to my
knowledge did not install BCM for pocket pc (not on my installed programs
list), and now all the birthdays for my business contacts display on my

Sychronize 2003 BCM with Lap Top
I have figured out how to share my BCM with my Lap Top from my desck top but
I can not find anything on how to sychronize them when I go offline. I saw

changing a field in BCM globally
how do i change the "status" field in ACCOUNTS from "checked" (default) to
"unchecked" (blank) globally in one action vs. having to go into each ACCOUNT
record and unchecking it manually?

For example. I have Account A and Account B. Both have their own Contacts,

I am getting the following error message:
Contact Business Contact Manager Support. You can find contact information
in the "Contact Us" topic in the Business Contact Manager Help (Help Menu,
Business Contact Manager Help)
Unfortunately I can't find the Business Contact Manager Help in order to

Data integrity, and deeper hierarchies - OBA
OK, I've just got my hands on BCM. Question: I would like to customize
(programmatically, if necessary) BCM to have a hierarchy higher than Account:
so instead of
Customer ==> Account
Customer ==> Division ==> Company
I am a programmer, so don't mind having to create a custom form in Visual
Studio if that is inside of .NET 3.0, or elsewhere?? I have not been

BCM has disappeared form contacts an is now in TASKS.
My BCM has disappeared from my contacts list. I located it and it is
now listed under tasks. How do I move it back as a contacts group. I
tried creating a new folder under CONTACTS and copying my BCM contacts
over but it won't
let me. Any ideas?

I run a small consulting network without a shared server. Is it possible for
our consultants to each run a copy of Office 2007 with BCM on their laptops,
