Network activity with BCM shared
I am using BCM 2007. The master database is at the main office.
Remotely, I'm connected with a IPSec VPN over a cable/dsl with decent

I've shared the master BCM database at the main office, and I can
connect to it with reasonable performance (recently upgraded the RAM
on the PC to 2gb 800mhz Ballistix).
Yet, on my remote PC, I have constant network activity. ...

not recognzie the newer BMC format.

I just installed Office 2003 Small Biz w/BCM. Everything installed correctly,
except the BCM Toolbar does not integrate with the other office programs. It
is only installed in Outlook. How can I get the BCM Toolbar to install in the
other office programs? I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 all updates are

Business Contact Manager Sharing
Does Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager allow sharing across LAN
without additional software such as SQL or Exchange?
I found a white paper on using SQL Server to deploy a remote server for
BCM... which suggests that the sharing capability of BCM is limited.
Currently we use Osasync to sync our regular Outlook folders. Will I have
to continue using this program to sync in ad...

Advice on which phone to buy to ensure compatability with BCM
Hi There,
Just looking at a couple of phones & likewise advice.
The first is a Sony 990i. This runs on the Symbian OS, but (apparently) you
also get a copy of Exchange ActiveSync installed. Has anyone any experience
with using this phone with BCM?
The second is a Nokia 9300 (or 9300i). This currently shows compatability up
to Outlook 2003 (no comment regarding 2007)
Any comments/ad...

Optimize BCM & SQL settings
We are running BCM 2007 in a small office with three people. We do not have
a central server, we are running it only off of our individual laptops, which
are Dell D610s with 2 GB memory and running Windows XP. We have
approximately 1750 contacts in the BCM database, which is being sync'd
between the three machines.
There seem to be several points where BCM is responding extremely slow...
