Excel-Set end column
When creating spreadsheet, I need to be able to set the last column that I
need as the end column (with the ability to change or remove the setting, if
necessary.) I waste time when the spreadsheet shifts to the left, thinking I
need more columns.

Options should provide browse buttons under settings.
When setting preferences under the Excel Options, you should provide buttons
to browse for default folder locations. Specifically, under the Save
category, "AutoRecover file location" and "Default file location" should
provide something to help a person pick the folder they want to use (see
"Server drafts location" on this same tab). Also, under the Advanced
category, the "At startup, op...

"Cannot access read-only document" (I get this error when I try to open an Excel file)
If anyone can help I'd be greatly appreciative. Whenever I try to open
a particular Excel file (ie. filename.xls) I get the error, "Cannot
access read-only document". This is a file I use almost daily. I've
checked the file's properties and the "Read Only" property is not
checked. It opened fine just a couple days ago. Since then, the only
problem I had was with my System.ini file. Syst...

MSOffice default directory
Hi,
When I create a new document in any MSOffice application, and first
save it to disk,
the dialog always comes up with "My Documents" as default-directory,
which I think is pretty annoying.
I would rather prefer if the default directory was the last directory
where
you saved a new document, or maybe the directory where you last opened
a document or something more sensible...

Why does almost all ofthe text disappear when "Wrap text" is selec
This happens on MS excel 2003. It was fine until the today when a file was
opened almost all of the text was missing from the file. All the rest of the
cell formatting is intact (background colour, size, etc.). I installed Excel
97 in a separate folder just as an experiment, and the same thing happens.
When you disable text wrap, it all comes up ok. The text wrap needs to be
enabled. The...

Favorites in Excel
In Excel 2002, the Common Dialog box (the thing that pops up when you do
File-Open) had a shortcut to Favorites. A few users really became accustom
to using that and are wondering how to enable that feature in Excel 2003
(where it does not appear by default). I looked around a little bit and
didn’t see an option. How is this done?...
