Layout form
I'm trying to set-up a one page form with 3 separate sections in Excel 2007.
I want to be able to adjust the row and column sizes independently in each of
the sections. Is this possible in Excel 2007?
Alternately, I could use 3 worksheets - 1 for each section - if I could
combine them to print all on one page....

Rotate Footer text?
Using Excel 2003
I know you can rotate text in a cell but is it possible to do the same
with Footer or Header text?
I have a ss that will be printed in landscape mode & want the footer
(DOC+(pagenumber)) to be printed on the bottom right of landscape page,
but with the text rotated so that when reading the pages, one does not
have to rotate each page to read the page number

Copy of Print Setup
I regularly generate Excel 2003 workbooks which each use common content and
setup for up to 25 worksheets. I create the first worksheet, do the print
setup for that sheet, and then copy the sheet onto 24 other sheets within the
workbook. In the process, the print setup is lost on the 24 other sheets.
How can I copy from the first sheet and retain the print setup? ...

change default in page setup (ver 2003)
I would like to make a change so it becomes default.
It is in Print Preview - Setup - Header/Footer tab. I want to make the font
size 8 as default, I think the current default is 10.
Is this possible?

Default Menu
I have Excel 2007. But, I like the 'look and feel' of the menu system from
Excel 2003. Is it possible to use the menu system of Excel 2003 in Excel
2007 by changing some setup parameter?...

Change worksheet direction from right to left
My worksheets open up showing the cell direction from A on the right hand
side and is therefore 'back to front'. I have checked the editing languages
and these are set to English (UK and US).
How can I change this setup? I am running Excel 2007 on Windows Vista.

disabling default "text to columns" while *.csv file opening
Does anybody knows how to disable this "feature" - every time I open csv file
I get it opened with text to columns sorted, the problem is that this does
data format check while opening and does not allow to change format of
cells.. I found one workaround - to import data to blank sheet but this is
annoyinig and time consumptive (I have to open a lot of csv files every day).

"New Window" not making new window
When I select "New Window", the 'new' window doesn't appear on the task bar
(where the other windows usually display). I have the tool bar set to not
group windows.
I can Ctrl+Tab to get to the other windows, but they used to appear on the
task bar.
Any ideas?...

URGENT - Excel and Word and PPT will not boot correctly
Due to complications when I created a new profile for work, Excel, PPT and
Word from my Office Ultimate 2007 stopped working properly. I never get
beyond the "Configuring" screen when I try to start them. Other Office
programs start just fine.
I have rebooted, repaired, uinstalled and reinstalled. Nothing seems to
work. Some file is corrupted and keeps sending me to the configuring scre...

Shared Workbook
I went into a workbook that I had (Protect and share workbook) protected to
do some modifications, when I selected unprotect workbook it didn’t ask for
my password and seemed to unlock the book for editing. But this was not the
case; it stayed as a shared protected document. Why does this happen and how

Scroll problem
I use Excel 2002 SP3
One of the worksheets in a workbook that comprises several worksheets will
no longer scroll vertically. In other words, when I use the mouse wheel,
slide vertical scroll bar or cursor up and down the sheet with an arrow

How do I turn off that new extra tool box when right clicking ?
Just started using Excel 2007 at work. I use right click frequently, for
cut, copy, paste, insert, and delete. This annoying new little box pops up
now, with fonts etc. in it. Does anyone know how to turn this thing off? I
have been through the options, and have not found it. What is it even

Change Magnification default global setting
I work with large spreadsheets. Every time I open a sheet, it opens at 100%
and I then have to reduce it to the 75% setting. 75% is my normal viewing
setting every day. Is there a way to set a gobal setting default of some
kind so when I open a spreadsheet it will always open at the 75%
magnification level.

Default font for Comments
I'm using Excel 2003 on a Vista Home Premium machine and can't seem to change
the Default font for Excel comments. I tried changing the Windows Tooltip
settings, but only the font size, font color and background color change, not
the font itself. It's defaulting to Tahoma and I haven't a clue where it's
getting that setting. If anyone has an answer for this I would appreciate it....

How do I change the default log file location?
I'm trying to open a large XML file in Excel. After 65Krecords it stops, as
expected, and displays a message stating that a log file has been created
containing the errors on my c: drive. Is there any way I can change where
Excel puts the log file? I tried Tools, Options, General but that didn't have
the desired effect. Thanks....
