Uncheck collate by default to avoid printer error
When I print multiple copies of an Excel document (Excel 2003 or 2007 on
Windows XP) it prints one copy OK, then generates an error on the printout.
(The problem is very similar to the one discussed in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948349, but that solution is for a different
OS.)
To avoid this error I need to uncheck the "collate" option in the Print
dialog box. Fine.

Hide text when printing
Hello.
I have a report that I've created in Excel that I'm having trouble
printing properly. The report has alternating group colours - e.g. the
first group could be rows 2 through 5, and all these will have a white
background; the second group could be rows 6 and 7, and these will have
a grey background; the 3rd group could be rows 8 through 15, and we're
back to a white background, ...

Problem with Excel Printing
Printing to network (NAS) printer works with all Office 2007 programmes
except Excel, which will preview a sheet but no printout occurs. No document
appears in print queue. OS is Vista Ultimate with all updates installed.
If I use Excel 2003 on another PC, under XP Professional, sheet will print.
Does anyone have any suggestions,
Thanks,
Mike....

"Shrink to fit" option doesn't work
My "shrink to fit" option doesn't work.
When I have a large worksheet and select this options, the preview only
shows a single cell with the content of first cell in the worksheet, and
nothing else. This single cell is printed in its normal font size, i.e., no
enlargement, and I can't print the rest of the worksheet
Sometimes the behavior is even stranger: it shows thousands of empty p...

No zoom during preview?
This is odd. For some reason, Excel is not giving me the option of zooming
during print preview. Don't think I changed anything, but this is definitely
new. Zoom button is grey'd out, and mouse doesn't seem to allow any zooming
either.
Not sure if it's related, but when I edit text directly in cells, the cursor
is more of a rectangular block rather than a single line. Thought it mig...

Repeating content of merged cell on next page
Hi,
in my tables I have some headers with merged cells. When printing,
these merged cells can span several pages, but the content is printed
only once, resulting in the spanned cells having no content in some
pages (i.e. the text fits into page 1, span continues to pages 2 and
3, but without text there).
I did try this also with Excel Pivot tables, which have similar
structure as my tab...

All looks ok on the screen, but when printing to pdf or to simply print out

I looked at the print quality on both printers, and it is set to high.

Page Setup - I need my sheet to be 1 page wide by 1 page tall, but ALSO >100%
Greetings all,
I can't seem to get Page Setup to make my sheet print 1 page wide by 1
page tall, but ALSO >100%. When I select "1 page wide by 1 page tall"
it defaults back to 100%.
BTW, I don't know if this makes a difference, but what I'm trying to
set up is part of a larger spreadsheet, where I've hidden the lines I
don't want to see.
Help?
Thanks,
Liz
