Repeated rows when printing
When I print an Excel worksheet the first few rows are repeated throughout

Auto fill formulae when inserting rows
I have a protected worksheet that allows any user to insert new rows. Each
row has 2 formulas and 2 validation managed cells. When a user inserts a
row, the validation is copied, but the formulae are not. How can the
formulae be fromated to fill on inserted rows.

Workbook Open but not visible (and not HIDDEN?!?)
I have a workbook that when I open it up, it is not visible. It sometimes
shows up in the "switch windows" button as the selected window (no other
sheets open, fresh Excel session). It is also not a selection in the
"Unhide" option. Yet it is still not visible.
When I go to "arrange all" or "create a new sheet", the originally opened
workbook appears.

Keep Same Range
I have a formula and the range in the formula is A1:A1000 and I want
this to stay A1:A1000 even if I delte rows. Is this possible? I

display previously hidden author information in excel 2003
an author name is not displayed in properties, I believe someone may have
selected to hide it. As it is financial calculations I now need to see who

Removing Intermediary Connections
I have around three sheets between the source and the output sheets. In other
words, lets take an "EXAMPLE" as:
1. Sheet1!A1 is the source cell;
2. Sheet2!B1 = Sheet1!A1*1000;
3. Sheet3!C2 = Sheet2!B1/2;

failure to password protect file
Recently I have noticed a problem in my excel documents. I have core 2 quad,
2.40 GHz , 4 GB RAM, 32 bit vista ultimate with SP1, 500 GB eSATA HDD running

Hello,
I have two Worksheets Sheet1 and Sheet2.
I want to automatically fill up the Sheet2 with the records copied from the
Sheet1 with selected columns.
For example, Sheet1 looks like following:

Conditional Formatting where Matrix intersects
I have a matrix (see below) and would like to format the row yellow and the
column red and where they INTERSECT orange. I am able to get the row and

Can i hide parts of a Pivot tables subtotals???
Hi all,
I am wondering if there is a way to hide parts of a pivot tables
subtotals.
I have data in numerical form and percentage form.
For the numerical data I would like to use the Sum function for the
subtotal; and
for the percentage data I would like to use the Average function for

How do I display all combinations of a set of letters in row 1? The total of

Wierd printing requirements between worksheets!
This may sound strange... I have a form I need to fill in regularly in
excel. However it exists as front page portrait second page (2nd
worksheet) landscape.
Of course when printed it prints individual files per worksheet.
I want to A: print landscape 90 degrees round so it prints in portrait
(bear with me) So i can B: print it duplex on the back of worksheet

Re-post: Code to make sheet very hidden based on date
I need some code to hide a sheet if a date has past. Date is in Cell
a1 of sheet 1 and sheet 2 needs to be very hidden. I would rather
not use regular conditional formatting since formats can be copied and
pasted thus changing cell formats.

Conditional Formating
I'm trying to set the format for a group of cells based on the value of
another cell - lets say A1
my formula is =$A$1 = "F" format 00.0000 applies to $D$1:$E$2 and
=$A$1 <> "F" format 00.00% applies to $D$1:$E$2
when i set the formual with A1 = "F" and change it the cells change to % but
when I change A1 back to "F" the cells do not change.
