Excel won't reopen Files
I can open Excel and create a new file, but the minute I save it I can't
reopen it and the Program crashes.
I try to open a previous saved file and it will not open and Program Crashes.
I have run the Office Diagnostics, several times and it tells me that my
program is running fine, I have also try to repair the Program with my CD to
no avail.
I am running Office Enterprise Edition 200...

The bar that lets me edit a field in Excel has dissapeared.
I've been using Excel for years, and all of a sudden the line under the tool
bars that allows data entry or editing disappeared. I tried loading the
complete Office 2003 version after rem0ving all version on the computer, but
the problem is still there....

Does not save the file
I am trying to save a file that I am currently working the file is
already save in the network. many times I go to the save bottom and
wait until a message that says: file name.xlsx' is currently in use.
try again later. WDF??? I know is in use that is why i am trying to
save it.

Document Type MSO 2007?
Something I noticed today. In my folder list view for my, excel, PP, and
word, they are all shown as 97-2003 worksheets, documents, presentations. So
I downloaded the compatibility program and read some tutorials on this.
I created all these documents in MSO 2007. When I try to change them back
to 07 it converts but will not open so I changed it back.

Invalid Bracketing of Name 'mdb.'. Error
I receive this error Invalid Bracketing of Name 'mdb.'. when importing data
from an Access 2003 DB into a pivot table. The datasource is a qry in access
that resides on my desktop. When I enter the pivot table and select external
data. I navigate to my eu.mdb file. I select the qry and do not apply any
filters or sorts in excel. I am unable to connect as I get the above error.

File cannot be opened
I am using an Acer Aspire 3680 with Windows Vista home basic. I am trying to
open an Excel spreadsheet that I created on this computer and am suddenly
getting the message "The file cannot be opened because your virus scanner has

Excel 2007 unable open excel files
I have Office 2007 runing on Vista Business. Suddenly, after the latest Vista
update (Nov 27) I am unable to open any of my excel files!!
The message reads: "File C:\Users\My Name\Desktop\etc etc cannot be found.
Please check that you have given the right name and try again".
Other Office programs as well as Acrobat function properly in this regard.
How can I solve this?

"form/sheet contains AFDF"
I've copied several worksheets but this time when I attempt to copy it I get
a circular error. It says "the formulat or sheet you want to move or copy
contains the formula AFDF which already exists in the destination folder."
Then it asks if I want to change it or leave it. I've tried both and either
way it won't let me just exit and so I have to do a task manager shut down.

Lost right-click facility on button in worksheet
Using Office 2003 - sp3 - Excel
When running in Normal mode I have no drop-down menu when I right-click a
button on the worksheet; when I run the same program in Safe mode I can
right-click the same button and get the drop-down menu thereby accessing its
properties.
Any ideas to restore this facility to Normal mode would be very welcome.

Read Only issues
Hi. Please help me. Something strange started happening wiht my Excel
workbook. When I open it first time I can edit, save it and close then if I
open it again it shows that that file is read only and locked for editing by

Why did sp3 break my macro?
After installing SP3, my macro no longer works right. If I uninstall office
then reinstall office and update it to sp2 it works again. Any ideas? Just
for the record it has nothing to do with the machine. It is definately a SP3
issue along with the other issues that come with installing office SP3. ...

Sum should be negative
I have a sum formula that totals a column that includes IF formulas. The
column displays -2.5 in the first field, the remaining fields that make up
the total are zero. The total displays 2.5, a positive rather than a
negative. The formula in the total is =SUM(AI8:AI33). When I copy and paste

Inaccurate Mouse positioning on sheets
On using Excel 2007 the mouse icon sometimes is approximately one cell height
above the actual operation position. In other words to select cell A2 I would
have to place the visible mouse on screen on cell A1. All other mice icons
are out by that degree. To clear I have to click on title bar/right click and
escape/click out of window and other alternative mouse operations.

Issue with calculation of basic formula (i.e. x-y+z)
Hi,
I found an error in the way Excel calculates a basic formula (x+y-z). The
problem occurs when adding/subtracting compound fractions.
Example: 512.69 - 517 + 4.31 = 5.41789E-14 (answer should be 0). The problem
continues as the number increases (513.69 - x + y, 514.69 - x + y, etc)
The problem is not restricted to numbers past 512. The error depends on the

Formatting lost when saving in Excel 97-2003
My office desktop has Office 2007 installed, and my home has Office 2003. To
use at both places, I save my excel files in 97-2003. In a big file, i have a
peculiar problem - the formatting is lost when I open the file. I had no
problems till now and was using it normally. When i convert it into 2007

Cannot uninstall MS Office Standard
My initial issue is the VBA ActiveX control problem with excl which I still

I CAN SAVE TO CLIPBOARD BUT IT DOES NOT PASTE
In excel I can copy items to the clipboard as much as I want but when I try
to paste either one or all to sheet nothing happens. I can copy and paste one
item at a time not using the clipboard. The clipboard copies all but will not
paste..??????Help.

circular reference?
I have turned on "Iterations" and have set Maximum Iterations to 1,000.
After entering in a certain amount of circular references into my excel
model, numbers are calculated incorrectly. I do not receive an Ref Error,
but the numbers do begin to not add up correctly. Any thoughts on what may

Accesslinks function
I'm trying to use an Access form to enter data in an excel worksheet. I am
able to convert the date from Excel to Access, and have loaded the add-in
AccessLink to Excel 2002 (on Windows XP).
However, when I go to Data>MS Access Forms I get the error box:
'Unexpected error creating Microsoft access Form or Report"

weird duplications
hi guys
I am using excel 2007, I have two sheet on my workbook. When I added 2 rows
to my second sheet they appered on my first sheet too. When I delete them
from first sheet they disapperes from second sheet.
What do you think happening? Is it a Virus? I have McAfee corp 4.7.0 and it

Excel 2003 autofilter drop down arrows appear in wrong row
I have 14 columns of data (only 300 rows long) with a header row (row 5).
Above the autofilter header row (row 5) I have 4 rows with some headings and
a few macro buttons placed in that area and a couple of descriptive Report
Titles there.

Can't get Excel to boot properly
Due to complications when I created a new profile for work, Excel, PPT and
Word from my Office Ultimate 2007 stopped working properly. I never get
