Excel 2003 opens an empty winodw with required file?
My excel 2003 can't open a file that I was just created and saved before, it
just open an empty window of excel program( without any file), I had
reinstalled the application and update it, but till now there's no solution.
can any one help please?

cannot close Excel
As a result of other application updates, I am unable to close my Excel
software. The X in the upper right hand box is not live. Can anyone tell me

Excel won't display a spreadsheet
I have a spreadsheet that won't launch.
Excel (97) will run normally and display spreadsheets normally,
except for this one particular spreadsheet.
When I launch the spreadsheet (from either a desktop shortcut,
Windows Explorer, or within Excel) I get the prompt asking whether
to enable or disable macros, but the spreadsheet never appears.
No errors or messages, just the empty Exc...

Error on creating a pivot table
I get the following message when creating a pivot table:
"A field in your source data has more unique items that can be used in a
PivotTable report. Microsoft Office Excel may not be able to create the
report, or may create the report without the data from this field." (What is
the limit?)
The pivot table is not created.
Can anyone help?

excel 2007: cannot successfully change the "trust center settings"
Hi, when I open an excel file, i got some popups saying that "cannot open
http://...." I keep clicking "ok", and finally a window is up "this workbook
contains one or more links that cannot not be updated....".
So I want to disable this kind of automatic update, I went to "trust center

formulas
I have a template I use weekly and this week the formulas stopped working,
not only that but I cannot recreat the same formulas in a new worksheet. I
am asking the formula to add a day to a date and do a simple subtraction
problem. My other excel templates are working, but I can not create any new
worksheets with formulas....

Conditional Formatting Problems for Excel 2003
I can no longer apply conditional formatting to cells in Excel 2003. I have
half of the sheet formatted and have gone to format the rest of the cells but
have found that the conditional formatting option is now "greyed out". I

Chart Error
I am working on a period review that is linked to 13 different workbooks.
The link is only bringing data from a workbook over so I can create a chart
from the information.
Everytime I go to start a new chart I get an error that says "NO MORE FONTS
MAY BE APPLIED TO THIS WORKBOOK"
I had 5 sheets that were also linked to the 13 workbooks. I copied them out
to their own workbook, but...

Row and columns labeled both as numbers, not letters
In excel 2003, today when I opened the application both the rows and columns
were labeled as numbers. So instead of having cell A1, I have cell 11,
instead of B1, I have 21, etc.
Has anyone seen this and do you know how to get the letters to reappear on
my columns?...

Has anyone received the error "Cannot empty the clipboard"?
I'm working remotely and am accessing my workstation from home. I've been
doing a lot of cutting and pasting into Excel spreadsheets and get to a point
where I get the message "Cannot empty the clipboard". It allows me to copy,
but not paste and I don't get the option to manually empty it.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how do you correct it?...

Excel Function return a certain value if citeria x is met
Hi,
I have the following function
=IF(C13=0,(WORKDAY(D13,0)),(WORKDAY(D13,C13-1)))
and I have a column that has "x", which meant it is completed.
I want to write a function that will help me reference the formula so that
if the column does have an x then the above function answer should appear,
otherwise i want it to be blank.

Application hang
Hi,
Excel 2007 (12.0.4518.1014) - when I work with a larger data sheet eg 3000
rows and I create X-Y graph and then I want to format the graph - the
application hangs (not responding) and I have problem to save the file. I

Either Excel or Access Error - not sure
I inherited an Excel spreadsheet that has embedded queries that pull data
from an Access database. I am revamping the Excel queries to pull from new
Access queries to make things more efficient. When right-clicking then
"Editing Query" I can update and then run the new query...once.

Hi !
If you try to set ProperyOrder in PivotTable by using
1) OLAP tools -> Property Fields -> Choose property fields for dimentions
or even
2) VBA method, -> AddMemberPropertyField(Property, PropertyOrder,
PropertyDisplayedIn)
you fails.
PropertyOrder parameter is not changed despite any efforts from my side. So

Can't save new documents
Hello,
When I start up a new word document or excel document, then go and try and
save it for the first time, the program hangs. The following technical

Why do I get error messages stating that my formulas are too long.

File Lock
I am not excel savy at all so I need all the help I can get. Some of my
end-users keep getting a "File Lock" fault that tells them that they can't
save it unless they save as somthing else. The excel file is share between 5

Can't open files by double click on excel file in Explorer
Win XP, Office 2000
I can no longer open Excel and display a spreadsheet by
double-clicking on the spreadsheet file in Windows Explorer or on a shortcut.
I can open other types of files from "My Computer/My Documents" but recently
I started not being able to open Excel files that way. I can however still
open them from within Excel itself

Linked Spreadsheet - Giving me Edit Links everytime
I am having a problem with linked spreadsheets giving the same error message,
but the links are all okay. Why does it continue to give me this. I will be
teaching Engineering Project Managers to use this and I want it to be as
simple as possible, and I don't want them to have to edit links everytime

Excel 2007 Delay When Opening Files
When opening files from explorer (from the local computer or from network
drives) there is 30sec to 1min delay before the file actually opens. Excel
actually opens but no file is there. If I maximize the window, it then opens
immediately.
If I run excel from the start menu, choose Open, then select the file. It
also opens immediately.

Run-time error 70
I am getting a Run-time error 70 (permission denied) in Excel 2003 when I try
to display a form with a list box that displays 2 columns. The first column
is bound. The purpose of the form is to let the user pick an item from the
list box and have that selected value (from the bound column) return to a
cell in Excel.

Old automation bug reappeared?
I am having problems with a macro which inappropriately converts data into
alternative formats while importing from a CSV file. Seem to be at least 2
issues although they may actually be the same problem -
Numbers apparently randomly convert to dates (Big problem given that the
application is recording drug levels in patients) - 0.6 in the CSV file
converts to 00/01/1900.
