Excel print error [no printer installed] - when printers are insta
Essentially the same issue as Nutrino posted on 9/7/08 - with no solution
offered. Excel 2002 running on Vista Ultimate 64 PC cannot find any of the 3
installed printers; even though all other Office XP Pro applications have no
problems using these printers. Excel was fine until last night, but now
cannot "find" any printers.
The EULA notice now appears every time I start Excel [and w...

Excel 2007 crashes when converting to XLS
I have a large file (140 megs) of unrelated pairs of data and charts. I want
to convert it to .XLS. When I try to do so, Excel crashes. I tried to cut
the file in half, thinking that the size would be the problem. It still
crashed. I then created a dummy .XLS file and moved about half to the dummy
..xls file. When I saved it, Excel crashed again.

Formatting lost when excel 2003 .xls file is saved in excel 2007
I am facing a strange issue with some of my clients using excel 2003 files in
excel 2007. When the file is saved as .xls/.xlsm format in excel 2007 and
re-opened again, all the formatting of date and number fields as well as the
color of the cells is lost. When i try to do the same on my machine, the
original format is retained.
Any views on this issue is appreciated. ...

Values Change in Cells
A user has noticed an oddity in Excel 2003 and now Excel 2007: It
spontaneously changes certain values.
For example: 2685.98 sometimes changes to 2621.98 (a difference of 64) and
1915.45 sometimes changes to 1883.45 (a difference of 32). It may be doing
this to other numbers; the user has only noticed these two. It happens in
all spread sheets.
Sometimes you see the "correct" value (2...

Every time I exit Excel 2007 I get a message saying Excel has had a problem
and needs to close after which it restarts the program.
Otherwise the program seems to run and funtion normally.
I'm running Vista, with all updates, office has all the patches I know of,
and I've run the office diagnostic with no problems found.
Any suggestions appreciated....

XL 2007 SP1 - MonthView control problem
I have built a spreadsheet that works fine on 2 machines, using the
"Monthview 6.0 (SP4)" control as a date picker.
However, when I try to run the spreadsheet on a third machine that is
supposed to be built the same as the other two, the Monthview control shows
as a big red X.
So, I checked the mscomct2.ocx control was present on the third machine. It
was exactly the same as the firs...

Undo and other issues
Recently, the "undo" function (CTRL-Z, and edit menu) have stopped working,
and I'm seeing other commands in the edit menu (Can't close, etc.).
The other issue is that pop-up menus & command boxes (such as "customize"
and "options" from the Tools menu) have no background color. Changing the
color pallette using the "display" function in settings does not fix the
problem.

Excel 2007 loses data when minimized
We have several users who routinely minimize spreadsheets while working on
other things, but when they go to maximize the spreadsheet, most, if not all,
of the data is lost - the spreadsheet appears empty except for random cell
outlines scattered about. This does not happen every time, but certainly the
majority of the time.

box it says "detecting proxy settings" and just sits there without loading

Emergency: Excel 07: unwanted array inserts itself at startup
I downloaded to my desktop, a sample of work from a coder. It was an array,
10 cells by 10 cells, with a number in each cell; there is a column of "1's",
"2's", etc. to "10"s."
When starting any worksheet, the array inserts itself on top of the existing
data. It eliminates the existing data. When I delete the cells affected by
the array, the original data is also eliminated.

XL 2007 SP1 - Cell Formats lost when saving
I have a large spreadsheet (approx 30Mb) which has a header sheet and about

rest of the columns are numbers formatted to 2dp.

disappears.
There was also once a problem where the...
