Is it possible to create a chart that has stacked bars on one axis (e.g.
values between 0 and 10) and have lines relating to the second axis (e.g

Trendline won't show?
I have a chart with two trendlines already showing, but when I try to add a
third trendline (for a third series), it won't show in the chart. It does
show in the Legend, but not in the chart.
Anyone have any idea what causes this?

Undelete Legend Items
I deleted several legend entries, but now I would like to bring them back.

Why the hidden column can't be shown on charts?
It is strange that when the data is quoted from a hidden column, the data
can'be showed on charts. is it one default excel charts properties?
I'm not farmilia with excel chart. does anyone can help me let this data
shown on charts?

related to PIE charts N BAR charts
hello everyone,
i am using office 2007...
actually i have drawn some PIE charts and BAR charts with almost seven
variable each.. they are looking good in colors.. however i want the black n
white printout .. which is not giving the clear on the percentage in graphs..
is there any way to feed the PATTERNS in graphs for black n white picture..
like in books we have seen those things.....

Separations in a Line Chart

what type of chart?
Hello,
I'm having a hard time finding the right chart in excel to use.
I need one that is essentially a line chart - but that also charts
unique events events a long the way (time), showing how those unique
events (I was hoping to list the words vertically on this one in
different colors) affect the line or lines flowing along the items.

In excel you have 65537 lines, more than 32767.....

Opening a file
Hi guys, I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with what I think is a
relatively simple procedure.

Reversing chart
http://www.dbconsult.dk/ms/diagram.jpg shows a diagram and its data.
The A-columnt holds the months for the label at x-axis. (5th month and
6 months backward). The D-column (g/kWh) holds the actual data for the
diagram. This part is fine.
However, it is more intuitive to have the oldest month shown first
(most left) in the diagram. So that the diagram from left to right

Graph with horizontal color blocks marking certain numbers
I'm doing up a graph to plot Body Mass Index. Easy calculation based on
weight and height, and will plot it at one month intervals as part of a
weight loss charting method. As you probably know, BMI is broken down into

Creating graph from values in multiple tabs within workbook
I am trying to produce a simple line graph from values in worksheets within
a workbook.

Year curves in charts?
Hi,
I'm trying to create a chart were I can view the turnover for each year. I
want e.g. year 2004 to be series 1, 2005 series 2 etc. and they should be
shown above each other instead og in consucutive order. The x-axis is
formatted as "dd-mm" from 01-01 to 31-12. How do I do this??

source data from multiple sheets
i have a workbook that has a sheet for each year of data. We want to create
a rolling 15 month chart that graphs the trend over 15 months starting with
the specified month. The problem is that the information is on two different
sheets and Excel doesn't like that.
Is there anyway around this without creating a summary sheet to include both
year's info?

XY scatter chart
Have to represent large amount of data in XY scatter. The data consist of
120.000 data lines (x) with one corresponding Y value. Therefore the data is
represented in two lots of two columns. Now I have two problems. 1. How do I
combine one set of columns with the other and 2. the XY chart does not appear
to be able to handle this much data....

Source data for XY scatter chart
I am creating a map using Excel 2000 and a scatter chart. The
XY -coordinates come from a MS Access database. If I select those columns
which contain valid XY coordinates it all works fine In this case the
information is held in I3 to J67. If, however I select a few additional
columns where there is no data say I3 to J100 I only get (apparently) 1 data

numbers rather than halfs. I also want to see a full chart even if my points

Lognormal base in charts (excel 2007)
This is a difficult technical question.
Excel 2007 allows me to set the base of my lognormal chart (e.g., 2 or 10)
but is there any way that I can make the base dependent on the values in my
worksheet depending on what they are e.g., if my max spreadsheet value is 20
I would like a lognormal base of 2 and if my max spreadsheet value is 1000 I
would like a lognormal base of 10?

switching x axis
Some of the data from my worksheet is plotted on the 1st Y axis, some on the
second (as I want it to be). But the X axis appearing on my chart uses the
dates from the 1st X axis. How do I get it to rather use dates from the 2nd

Excel Chart Contours should be smooth as done in surveying.
The countours plotted are very coarse and with lot of kinks.
In actual survery contour plotting based on levels at regular grids,
contours are plotted smoothly and represent physical features of ground.
Excel has to use some kind of interpolating algorithm and draw the contours.

Ploynomial Trendline Equation Changes After Copy Paste
In Excel 2007 if you create a XY Scatter Plot and then add a polynomial
trendline to the plot, display the equation, then try and copy/paste the
chart to a Word 2007 document the trendline equation in the chart drops one
of the orders. If you right click and select Format Trendline, it still
lists the correct order equation, but it does not show. If you delete the
