Re:Date field - solutions, ideas
Hi Rick,
Very quick response.
Unfortunately "date" data format is of no use for genealogists, because it
doesn't like dates such as "23 Jan 1711/2", and some even get muddled up
with older years such as 1798 or 1898, whilst being quite happy with 2007.
Will that still work on dates pre 1900?
Any suggestions?
Regards
Jeff

Append query help
Hi,
I have 2 tables, let's say A and B. Both tables are basically the
same with a few differences. Table A has records from 1/1/04 to
8/13/06, the date/time field is one field with date/time format, about
10 other fields are in text format but need to be changed to number
format. All other fields are exactly the same and don't need to be
changed. Table B has records from 8/13/06 - 12/31/...

an inventory (vs. updating a running calc.) as no in-stock inventory stats
currently exist.

Search by Defined Month
Hey guys,
How would I search by a defined month. So, for instance, I have trade data
for 12 months. I want to be able to perform a report by month, that shows
only the current month. I know the search that would allow the recipient to
access the date range in which they are looking for. That's not what I'm
looking for. I'm looking for a way to code a report to only pull May's trade...

security in access 2007
Being completely new to access I need some help with the following.
Is it considered good/common practice to purchase third party digital

bar when someone opens up a database ? or do most people get by without this.
The reason i'm asking is that having coughed up a lot of money for access I

How to create a small test db from a huge db.
I have a db that in total has 35million records. However, these have been

I want to create a new, smaller db and fill it with a random selection of

Autonumber stopped incrementing to next highest number
I have been having this strange occurence on one of my relationship table -
not frequently but 2 times is enough for me.
Apparently the Autonumber seems to stop incrementing to the next available

that's already in existence . That of course will give the error on "Unique
