Printing multiple pages
I am creating a database that will eliminate a current form. The form is a
three part carbon form where we need to turn in each of the different color
pages to different departments. Is there a way to print a form in access
where it prints 3 pages each time with a different text box on each
indicating the department?...

Opening files from within access
I would like to create a button which will open a windows browser to a
specific folder and allow the user to select a text file and to be able to
view the file. I know I can link to a specific text file but need for the
user to be able to select the specific file they need. Is this possible?
Thanks....

Question response
I posted a question in the Access forum a few days ago and got an email that
there was a response. But the link in the email doesn't work, I can't find my
question (let alone any response) by searching, and the Contact Us at the
bottom of the forum page points to a non-exisiting page.
What's going on out there?...

Tabbed datasheet
Hi
2nd Question of the day for me, very grateful for any help.
I'm using Access 2007 and discovered tabbed controls but Access Help doesn't
answer my question on using them.
I have a datasheet (formStatements) showing CurriculumStatements with
associated supporting Documents . There are 600 CurriculumStatements in 25
CurriculumAreas. For ease of viewing, I would like to have each

Parameter value?
When I open one of my forms, each parameter box comes up for the fields.
It's more of a nuisance than anything but it takes time to go through all of
these boxes before the form opens up. The other forms don't do this. Can
anyone help me on this? Thanks!

Trapping #Error on Query
Hi,
I have a text field in a query.
I want to separate this field to two different fields by using CDbl()
function. (Double and Text separated).
I get #Error when I run CDbl() on text field.
I tried to use iif(IsError(Cdbl(textfield)), "Text Value", CDbl(textfield))
but the result is still #Error instead of "Text Value".
Can the #Error be trapped somehow ?
Thank you in advance.

AutoNumbers in Access
I have created two tables that each generate a different PO number for us.
One starts with a letter followed by number, ie, A001 the other starts with a
56-A001. After these numbers are generated, I try to append them into another
table so I can have all the PO's in one table to create a report. Each time I
do this, I loose my prefix, ie the "A" or the "56-A" and all I get are just
the n...

Access Import - Strange Behavior
I've been successfully using Access 2007 to import sheets from Excel 2007 for
several months. Last week, without any changes to my computer (that I'm
aware of, other than MS automatice updates), when importing I get a message
that the Excel file is in an Office 2007 beta format and cannot be used. I
never had Office 2007 beta on my machine. After a systematic set of
diagnostics, I fou...

Microsoft Vista
I have had an new computer since mid November running Vista. About 2 weeks
ago I lost the ability to access the demo version of an Accounting package I
was using. I've lived with that for the time being.
About 4 evenings ago I sent some e-mail, and using Office Outlook, which I
was not overly familiar with, having used Outlook Express for a number of
years. After sending e-mails I ...

Limit to List Solution
In the past, I posted (although I can't seem to find it - perhaps in a
different newsgroup?) a request for help on a "Limit to List" problem,
where I wanted to set it to "No", but because my bound column (an auto
number) was not visible (and therefore, the actual value of the
unbound field), Access would not allow me to do so. No one was able to
recommend a solution. However, I have since sol...

question on dlookup
If I have a table filled with records of days, say
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
and I have a query that has a select that it only include records
where the day entered exists in the table, i.e. by doing DLOOKUP, is
that a valid way to validate data entered?
For instance, so someone doesn't inadvertently enter "Sunderday", or

Does that make...

problems. However, I just opened microsoft word and entered the product key

Custom Buttons
I have been playing around with using rectangles and labels as
buttons. However, I was curious what others have come up with to
create their own buttons. As my visual designs are changing, I'm
hoping for something a little more up-to-date and jazzy - and being
more able to control what the buttons look like, in spite of the users
OS.
Also, in playing with the rectangles and labels, there i...

Syncronize - Remove old Paths from Options
I syncronize my databases from my laptop to my main PC. I recently moved my
files from my main PC to a server. Now when I syncronize, the menu for
syncronization shows the old location of the file first (they are in
alphabetical order) and I have to click the drop-down menu and select the new
location. Is there a way to remove the old locations from the drop-down
menu? It is a minor t...
