Custom keyboard shortcut disable
Aaron Stamboulieh 12/12/2005 2:50:05 PM
I am trying to use Group Policy to disable the F7 key in Word 2003 (spell
check). However, I need to know what the "value" of this key is so I can use
the "Disable shortcut keys" GPO. The Knowledge Base gives the values of the
A-Z keys, Shift, Control and Alt, but not the Function keys. Does anybody
have any info on this?

Thanks.

Hi,

There is not a group policy to disable F7 key in Word 2003

You will have to disable F7 in all the PCs. To do so;

Press ctrl--alt--+ untill you see the cursor changes
Select tools --spelling and grammar
Select F7 and remove from all templates (normal.doc, and others,,,,,,)
