I am using Outlook 2002 SP3 under Win XP Pro with a 2.8GHz P4 and 512GB RAM.
One of my contacts sends me fancy e-mails with embedded wallpaper and
graphics for comment. When I click on either Reply or Forward, the hourglass
appears and remains for 20 minutes before it is possible to even start to
type a reply. However, if I revert to the default Outlook editor, the
response is
immediate. If I copy/paste the e-mail content into Word, the same thing
happens
so it seems that Word cannot handle the graphic content whereas the Outlook
editor
does. Unfortunately, the Outlook editor lacks certain features that I need.
Is this an insurmountable barrier in Word or is there a workaround?
