Changing database location
PhilAllen 3/10/2007 2:05:03 PM
Hi Everybody,

We have a small business with two PCs running BCM2007 with the database
located on one of the machines, however we have recently purchased a new
server on which we want to run the BCM database. What is the preffered method
of transferring our database to the new server with the minimum of disruption?

Thanks

Phil

Backup database on current machine. You can do that by going to Business
Contac Manager ->Database Tools->BackUp. This will create a file with
extension .sbc. On new machine, setup bcm with fresh database and restore
this file.
