Create Template for Tasks in BCM Project Tasks
TopHAT 3/2/2007 10:48:44 PM
Greetings... I have a pretty specific list of tasks common to all projects.
Rather that having to keystroke over 50 task for each project - is there a
way to create a template that will appear for each project we engage in?

Thanks in advance...

Rick:

There's not a way to do it in BCM but we have an AddOn called pinpoint
Marketing tool that allows you to build Action Plans or Campaigns consisting
of tasks, appointments, emails, and letters (anything you can format with a
Word DOC -- postcards, flyers, etc). There's no limit to the number of
steps in each Plan and it can go out in the future from the Start Date as
far as you want. It can also count backwards from a Target Date (like a
mortgage closing date) and schedule events before that date. The only
gotcha is that our Tool schedules Outlook Tasks, not project tasks. We're
working on making those compatible but today it's not. You can download a
10 day trial to check it out at www.pinpointtools.com.

Thanks,
Lon

Lon,

Thanks for the quick response - much appreciated. I will take your advice
and look at your software. Hopefully it will satisify the requirement and/or
it will have other features that make good sense.

Have a great week.

I'll follow up later,
