Tags and Notes Formatting
tecstylian 10/17/2008 7:12:01 PM
I have created some customized Tags and I have used them with my notes. Now I
would like to change the formatting of my Notes attached with particular TAG.
I changed the formatting (e.g by changing colour and highlighting) of TAG in
"Customize my Tags" but It has not effect on the Notes Formating.

What to do now?

That change to the formatting of a Tag will only affect content flagged in
the future. It does not go back and retroactively change content which was
previously tagged with the old formatting.

Use the Tags summary pane to find all content tagged with the old
formatting, right-click and Remove Tag, and the re-Tag again with the new
definition.

I think this is quite basic option and it should be part of next version of
OneNote Just like In MS Word we can easily do this kind of stuff by using
"style and formatting".

ON isn't designed to be a word processor so it doesn't have those advanced
formatting features.

If you're using a shared Notebook with other people, and they have their
Tags configured the way they want, you wouldn't want a change in a Tag
definition on another person's computer to change the already-tagged notes
on your computer, right?
