I can't get email merge to work
MarkAJCheckley 11/16/2008 11:31:00 AM
I hope sombody can help me. I am trying to perform a mail merge to email. I
create the email and set te recipients and everything looks fine - except no
emails are being sent. I am running office 2003 professional. I suspect that
a recent update caused it to stop working because it was working a couple of
months ago.

If I send using text only, it seems to work but Outlook complains that
"aonther program is trying to send mail, do I want to proceed?" This is not
really practical if I want to send to more than 5 recipients. sending it
using HTML which is what I want to do because I need to send out formatting
and links etc. It does not work.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Does anyone have a solution tat I can try?

Would be grateful of some help please.

Hi Mark:

With regards your second issue, download a free programme called
"Click Yes" - it enables you to resolve the security prompt re sending
emails. http://www.contextmagic.com/express-clickyes/

With regards your first issue - have you tried sending a test email?
Have you recently upgraded from Outlook Express at all? You may need
to recreate your profile

Cheers
Cathy
