Convert Word 6 files
Lady Dungeness <LadyDungeness[ at ]DavyJonesLocker.Net> 6/18/2007 2:19:02 PM
I'm using Office XP. I have some old *.wri and *.doc files. I can't
open them. Why I try, I get a message that it can't convert Word 6
files.

How can I fix this?

The .wri files sound like they come from Windows Write, a predecessor to
Windows WordPad.

See if the following download installs the converters you need

Thank you. I've downloaded the file and will give it a try. I
believe you are correct about them being Write files. They date from
that era.
